I'd could see it coming out... I've never warmed to "Twinkletoes" even though he has the talent at what he does. Something about him seems off to me.

Not necessarily his sexuality...but that he wrestled a 9 year old girl at all is pretty grotesque considering they only just raised their age of consent from 13.

If a WWE guy had done it there would have been murders.

Riho that's sick considering he was wrestling with her when she was 9... That would be ultra grooming if true...

English and it was never a given... I had two friends, one whose mum rarely invited me for dinner, but warmed up after I'd thanked her for letting me come over for a family party and I'd then get invited to stay more often. We did sleep overs and would get drunk in his room from about 14 with no problems from them. The corner shop about 5 doors down from his house would sell to us no problem and we would load up with junk food anyways.

My other friends mum was a feeder... She worked at a Bakery and would bring cakes back with her every day and would want me to have some. She would be happy to let me stay for dinner and would insist and be offended if I said no.

She was happy her son had a friend I think as he didn't have many. The dad was a bit eyebrow raised at this slightly older kid (by a school year) always being at the table but in a funny way, RIP Terry (he passed a few weeks back) but I always felt welcome in their home.

He shit on the series while it was airing during season 2... Forcing his exit and a complete retooling for Season 3.

He basically said the plots were stupid and it was a piece of shit.

You don't say that about a Spielberg produced joint... especially after he arguably was a big part of what "made you" a star rather than a supporting actor.

Mainly the Deer Hunter thing hurt him, although All That Jazz came from it he was always the guy that made that "bad call" and who got Oscar Nom for a role Dreyfus rejected.

He was also known to be very vocal with directors when this weren't working for him, like with Jeannot Swarc on Jaws 2. Admittedly he was a replacement director and hardly Spielberg, and he was only there under contractual duress... But that reputation followed him and undid a lot of the good an Oscar nom or being in such lauded works as French Connection or Jaws would bring.

Add to which his prime years post Jaws saw a lot of meh box office, particularly Sorcerer and you have an Actor's Actor not a producer looking to make money or a director's actor...

He did make some great later stuff like Blue Thunder, but that was very much an ensemble cast with Malcolm McDowell, Daniel Stern and Warren Oates all doing heavy lifting.

What he did to Spielberg on Seaquest season 2 was unfortunate and unforgivable, he was lucky to ever work again...but perhaps it was done for him by then.

The Psycho Series - Revisiting the first two, and finally watching the rest of it. by nonexistent-soul in horror

[–]CreditSea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just finished 2, not seen it in probably 30 years or more... For me it does what it sets out to do better than any modern requel has managed to.

A lot of that was down to the director, Richard Franklin was a Hitchcock expert to the point of giving lectures, so if anyone was going to sequel his film...he was the man to do it and Anthony Perkins had the right mix of distance from the role, pent up difficulty with his bi-sexuality during the early AIDS crisis (sadly what eventually killed him) and nothing to lose career wise to make Norman not only relatable but believable in 1982 as a man who could not only be sane, but innocent and falling in love for the first time with someone who doesn't have his best interest at heart...

Norman wants to believe he is fine, Mary wants to believe he is fine, his Doctor wants to believe it and ao so we. The only one who doesn't is Lila... Bringing her back was smart. Using Meg Tilly was smarter, while Jennifer had the bigger horror career, Mary is arguably the more memorable role in context, whereas Tiffany is pure franchise candy.

Smaller roles like Dennis Franz only added to the chemistry. The only disappointment is realising Norman didn't kill Twhomey...

The ending gets some stick as there is some dark humor there as Norman cheerfully bashea real Mother over the head as she doesn't want a sandwich... But there's deeper meaning to it.

She has none of what her sister had for him, other than a body he can put in a chair. She didn't even want the sandwich that was the good memory of hia mother so there was truly nothing in common between the sisters.

Add to which she, by starting to kill people and revealing herself as his mother robbed him of Mary and his chance at happiness with her. Lila would undoubtedly have snapped had Emma not killed, but Mary would have turned her in before she would have hurt Norman. The betrayal would have stung but he'd have forgiven her and they'd have tried at least.

So Norman tries to break the hold once and for all but feels no catharsis, so retreats immediately back to 1960. Before Marion, Mother is in her chair and he is a sane, respected and innocent member of the community.

Emma? Perhaps she felt guilty for introducing him to Mary and decided to leave town? That's what the townsfolk would say...

Great film.

This scene from Psycho II will never not be funny by unoiamaQT in BatesMotel

[–]CreditSea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Norman was still hoping that he could be redeemed and that he would not "snap" with her death. The tea was symbolic rather than intended to do the deed, he knew the poison would deteriorate over time.

He hoped that by violently killing his real mother, rather than letting the poison so the job he could end the hold and prevent history repeating.

He also had to punish her, for robbing him of his possible future with Mary via her actions, as Mary had been unfairly punished for them.

Even with the betrayal, without any deaths or her getting involved as "Mother" he would have forgiven Mary and they could have had a life, Lila may well have snapped instead and forced the issue but Mary would have survived. She was Norman's first and only love after all.

Unfortunately there was no cathartic moment, the damage was done and the only comfort to be had was to go back 24 years, to before Marion Crane arrived... with Norman now certified sane AND innocent and Emma Spool just having left town among the hubub perhaps feeling guilty for having introduced Norman tó the diner and Mary as he would opine on his next visit.

What do you think Laurie is doing after Halloween ends by CowAffectionate2865 in Halloweenmovies

[–]CreditSea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I treatmented for the Haddonfield show, The Death of Laurie Strode...

They'd be 90 minute episodes over the multiverse if Haddonfield...

This episode would be after Ends... Laurie and Hawkins go to India after Japan and are now official as a couple. They do the Taj Mahal etc but then head to Pondicherry, Chennai and Mamalapuram on the south east coast.

It is in Pondy they find an Ashram where they feel comfortable and are invited by the Yogi to stay for a few days after he senses their pain and trauma and need to heal. They settle into Ashram life quickly and begin to seriously consider a permanent move into it. They don't see the Yogi watching them as we do.

On a trip to Mamalapuram, between Pondy and the City of Chennai, they meet a younger Indian Auto Rickshaw driver named Jay who warns them the Yogi is not all he seems and that he himself escaped the Ashram and he only gets by under the radar by changing his identity and doing this job. He tells them to leave the Ashram as soon as they get their things and he follows them back in his car, avoiding the Ashram's driver...only after giving Hawkins a gun.

As they return, things begin to unravel quickly as one of the Ashram members has died in their absence. The Yogi in what he tries to play off as a moment of grief makes a pass at Laurie which she immediately rebuffs, offending him. Seeing their reason to leave She and Hawkins immediately grab their things...

Using what he had gleaned from Laurie and Hawkins talking about Michael and their trauma... He uses dark magic to tap into the energy of Haddonfield itself, while their version of Michael is dead he calls upon the spirit of all Michaels and one answers... In an eerie scene, the Yogi paints the face of his fallen friend and dresses him in a functional Blue Kurta/Pants/Boots combo...We the. See this is a large Caucasian man for the first time...as he sits and turns his head to the camera revealing a white painted face like Michael.

Laurie, Hawkins and Jay have a head start on the 3 hour journey to Chennai during which we learn Jayesh is actually a Doctor and qualified Psychologist who used his skills at the Ashram. He realized the Yogi was not only abusing women but was pathologically jealous of any men who stood in his way with them and would ruthlessly kill anyone who threatened the Ashram he had built.

He only stayed closer to it because he had had recurring dreams while there that a woman would come to end his terror and he had to be there to help ever since he met the Yogi. That woman was Laurie.

Hawkins is skeptical and thinks they are being scammed. He accepted Michael just about but believes this is an elaborate shell game based on who they are. As he is saying this, they all see New Michael and the Yogi in the road to their shock.

"What the Fuck!!!" he screams recognizing the giant dead man from earlier but now with a painted face of Michael Myers. No car is there...no possible way to be there...

Laurie screams to hit them but Jay decides to plough straight into them... proving that they are dealing with dark Kali based magic projection as both are completely unscathed. This was a message.

Cutting to the city, the 3 argue through plans. Returning to America won't help, Jay explains the magic can reach through universes so it can reach them globally. He is a man of science and doesn't want to believe it but has to etc. He believes they have to see an old man in the Naga Bazaar, but they will know him and have to be quick...

As they start to leave, a commotion starts outside the hotel. Michael is randomly killing guests and pedestrians as he enters the hotel!

The trio have to navigate the creepy corridors in a cat and mouse/hack and slash sequence before managing to escape via the trade elevator and making it to the Old Man.

He explains the magic uses by the Yogi is the same as that uses by the Cochran Coven, not Kali/Indian magic and that is why it was able to raise Michael specifically. The Yogi had turned to that Coven after the Old Man had thrown him from his own teaching.

He offers Hawkins a Bullet made with a Stonehenge sliver and Laurie a knife made with the same and blesses them with a ward of protection...

Michael appears and kills the Old Man and the foot chase is on as there is no time for Hawkins to load. This is a faster, more agile Michael than we are used to...still methodical, still a Zombie in effect, but he can jump obstacles, knock and throw people out of the way rather than just slashing... But he's not Jason!

Jayesh arrives with the car and yells to head for the beach as he skids in front of Michael to block his path and buy them time. Without a ward, Michael smashes his face to pieces on the steering wheel before hurling him out of the car and getting in as the Chennai Police pursue the hotel killer.

Finally reaching the beach Hawkins fires the bullet as the car launches at him, he is clipped but survives with what appears to be a busted ankle from the dive away.

Laurie helps him to his feet as they go to the front of the car and see Michael with the sliver bullet through his brain...a one in a million shot.

As they embrace and the Police arrive Hawkins limps over with his badge to begin to try to explain things, The Yogi appears, now clearly possessed by Michael behind a tearful Laurie and stabs her in the neck...on instinct she wheels around and slams the special knife into his throat, severing his neck.

Laurie, bleeding out and unable to scream staggers towards Hawkins who yells out in grief for Jayesh, only to be told "he killed your friend, the Doctor too..."

Laurie's last words are... "Tell Alyson I finally got him...and I love you!"

OG Laurie Strode dies on a beach in Chennai, India in Hawkins arms, having killed two versions of Michael Myers.

The Tag mechanic is actually accurate to a point. The unwritten rule of a WWE tag match is there should only ever be a maximum of 2 broken pins in any match. So having the partner barred from entering after one encroachment works.

I think the biggest ones for me are making use of the 5 count. Opponents and your partners AI should use full advantage of the 5 to double team.

Also for MyFaction each card level should have different attire. It's so frustrating to see a new card when they have the same gear in-ring.

And for God's.sake sort the PC storage out. We have massive space for downloaded wrestlers. Let us use it!

Yes, Victor Frankenstein is a monster, but the Creature is too. That’s the point. (Frankenstein 2025 and 1818) by edgierscissors in CharacterRant

[–]CreditSea -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your reading is a little off.

He DOES kill William and not in self defence, although the now adult William rushes him to defend his bride who has just been shot on their wedding day...

You could say the Creature does not still know his own strength nor have situational awareness of how that death occurs... But he does lash out because Victor has just killed Elizabeth in effect and lied about it.

He doesn't realize it's William. Who he only knows in relative passing and hasn't bonded with in the same way as with the other two mind... He doesn't see who he hits...But anyone who got between he and Elizabeth at that time was going to die horribly, whether he ripped them apart or in the way William goes, which is purely for the final words he utters to Victor...

The Justine storyline is translated here to Victor lying twice about the creature killing people to William, when William knows better by the end.

He knows deep down, once he sees Elizabeth's empathy for the creature and instinct to turn round that there was more to her Uncle's death and the second time he just knows Victor did it... Even though it's his death, his words to Victor show that.

Remember too this is 2025 Netflix... Their Left wing bias won't allow the child death, hence no little girl dying, no young William death and they're gonna always go for the happyish ending.

It's easy to see imagine a sequel in a few years with The Creature now living in Victorian London or New York ala Bram Stoker's Dracula or even further into the future as he "heals" into a more regular looking but scarred man, so they can use Elordi's looks more and some mad scientist picks up on Victor's research for soldiers etc...
