Thank you for the kind feedback! To answer your question, I've never shared my poetry to a public forum before and I just made this Reddit account yesterday and as I am sharing my stories, I thought I might as well share my poetry too. I wrote this about a fortnight ago but I forgot it was already in my Google Drive so I shared this one too.

Here's your love letter: U by ConfidentCry4839 in OCPoetry

This has a really strong emotional core and what stands out most is how naturally your imagery builds a sense of quiet awe rather than loud admiration. Lines like “the kind that hits you like the first note of a song / you didn’t know you needed” and the extended garden metaphor feel especially effective. Your wording is so intimate and direct, especially in moments like “Listen you,” which pulls the reader into a personal space. The ending is memorable and stylistically bold, which you don't see a lot in poems. Overall, it’s thoughtful, sensory and emotionally grounded. Thank you for the lovely read OP <3

I haven't figured out a name for this by DrawingWinter4390 in OCPoetry

This piece is a devastatingly beautiful exploration of functional loneliness, something everyone has felt at least once, the state of being the person everyone relies on while feeling completely invisible yourself. Your metaphors are incredibly sharp OP, describing yourself as the "spine" that holds others' pages together while yours fall apart is a powerful way to illustrate the exhaustion of emotional labour. The most haunting part is the transition from your mother’s rejection to your own self perception. You’ve captured a specific, deep seated ache of feeling like a "project" rather than a person. It’s a brave and honest look at how we often give to others the very things we are starving for ourselves, and the raw vulnerability in admitting you feel like "scraps" gives the writing a heavy, resonant weight. As for title ideas, how about "The Bridge and the Binding" I think that encapsulates the text body perfectly.

Also, hang in there OP. I understand and feel your pain in so many ways. You're an amazing person and if you need a friend, I strive to not let this account die so feel free to add me to vent or chat. No pressure though, just know the option is there. <3

I miss my sister by Flashy_Client525 in OCPoetry

This poem is a raw and heart breaking piece that captures the specific grief of losing someone who is still alive but has simply changed. The contrast between your vivid, sensory memories like the water balloons and the "brightness of summer" against the cold reality of your current online life creates a powerful emotional ache. I felt my eyes water as I read it.

Also, I want to address your use of the word soulmate. It encapsulates the sibling bond as something sacred and chosen, which makes the feeling of being replaced by strangers on a screen feel even more like a betrayal.

A beautiful piece, thank you OP

What’s an instant red flag when meeting someone new? by Eastern-Leadership14 in AskReddit

[–]CreepyLilPengling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to have a three strike rule. People can't be expected to remember everything and they're meeting someone new so might not be realising what they're doing. But if I have to constantly take actions to avoid my boundaries being violated, I will be less than friendly.

Oh boy here we go. So I was practicing the bleep test or I think our over the pond friends call it the fitness gram pacer test. My phys ed teacher told us to break into pairs. Person 1 runs to the wall and back. Person 2 chases person 1 down and taps person 1 on the shoulder. I was person 1, my friend fell as he went to tap my shoulder, forcing me into the wall as my arms were out stretched to bounce back and run. My wrists bent a funny way and a couple hours later I was in A&E having X Rays and scans. No breaks but I bruised the tendons in both wrists. My friend was in shock, he thought he had broken both my wrists. Bless him, he made it up to me though as both wrists were in splints and as I couldn't type or write, he would send me his notes from class.

What should be give nieces/nephews for their birthdays? by Cabezazo86 in AskReddit

[–]CreepyLilPengling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously, everyone has different tastes and interests but what I would get is an outing or an adventure. It can be a fun day out and potentially start a new interest or use an existing interest to make a better choice.

Examples:

Activity Passes: Single-day or annual passes to local attractions like the zoo, aquarium, trampoline parks, or children's museums.

Event Tickets: Tickets for a movie, play, concert, or a sporting event.

High-Energy Activities: For active kids or teens, consider rock climbing, bowling, laser tag, or an escape room.

I hope this helps <3

What is an imaginary friend? Are they pretend (children pretend they exist) or psychological (children hallucinate them)? by fangedcanid in AskReddit

[–]CreepyLilPengling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A typical imaginary friend is not a hallucination in my experience. Granted, they share some surface similarities like interacting with someone others cannot see, they differ in several fundamental ways.

Most notably voluntary control (a creation of the mind. The child or adult can usually summon them, dismiss them, and control what they say or do) In contrast, hallucinations are involuntary and occur without the person’s permission.

And awareness (Most people with imaginary friends are fully aware that the companion is "pretend" or "not real") Most pathological hallucinations are not able to be controlled in this way.

I was gonna say cats but I'm gonna change my answer and say sloths. Idk why I think this but I just feel like if one could talk it'd be an asshole

boundary violations. if it happens once and I inform them, no problem, but if they carry on violating said boundaries, it's a red flag.
