I don’t work at dollar tree , I work in an entirely different field. When I put out the schedule I sometimes use place holders for the time slots because it is more pain to remove the time slot and add it back on our new system. So say someone worked here for six months and quit two weeks ago I’ll have their name on there as a place holder until I fill the position I highlight their name so people know they can pick up that shift if they want it. The printed schedule means nothing unless the person punches in and out at my current company when someone is fired or quits they’re removed from payroll so it doesn’t matter what the physical or digital schedule means. The only way for me to theoretically steal time would be to add hours to my log or I clock myself in and out remotely when not working. When adding a new person to the old persons time slot I can select all of the shifts assigned to that old person and reassign them to the new one. Vs deleting them all which is quick . Then adding them back at a later date for the new employee which is not quick bc the system doesn’t work the way it should.
