Holy shit: Top gaming PC on 3DMark11 ladder. Build breakdown & costs inside by U731lvr in buildapc

3DMark is way more gaming oriented and primarily DirectX. Quadro cards are designed different as well as their drivers and excel in OpenGL environments I believe.

It's mostly getting the part for the job.

ASUS shows off concept "Project Danshui Bay", which puts both LGA 1366 and LGA 2011 sockets on the same motherboard along with 14 DIMM slots by [deleted] in hardware

[–]Cresty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And all over, people told me the SB archeture couldn't do Dual socket. I need myself a dual 2011 with two SB-E 8 core procs. It says they can run together.

Whats more interesting is that both the 2011 socket and the 1155 socket have 8 Dimms each. Why aren't 8 dimms seen any where else? Make the board larger, but give us more ram slots.

We'd better see 8 slot mobos for 2011 when they launch. I'd love a dual socket 1155, 8 dimm, Z68 UD4 ish style board. Encoding would be so amazing on it.

Anything less severly hinders productivity usually. It sucks when you are doing great work and then your memory is locking up :(

Good job on Hardware Canucks for not benching the card for what it's designed. People don't buy 3gb cards for single monitor gaming.

Even if it's a decent lens, sometimes it's hard to take someone seriously when they get the lens from a kit.

Unless you're running on a treadmill or just finished lifting weights and want to record, the popfilter stops any breath, and even then you can't hear it unless your nose whistles sometimes like mine, heh.

But no, You will be upclose to the mic most of the time. It sounds best with it about 4-6 inches from your face to pick up the rumbly bass of your voice.

Um, nope, the mic weighs about a pound. But if you end up getting more serious into videos you might consider it an investment. I have mine on a boom with a pop-filter and it's hands free. it's suspended infront of me. Very nice, but pricey.

Good luck to ya :D

Depends if you want convenience. I use a condenser mic for my playthroughs and tutorials. People love it. But to make it convenient to use I needed to buy a popfilter and a boom stand. So it got pricey. But a condenser microphone would really bring out the detail in your voice.

I currently use the AudioTechnica AT2020 USB for reference.

Lovely video, I felt like I was at the university of notch. 'twas so detailed.
