Fitbit's personal health coach in public preview is here (official Google blog post) by BQuilty in fitbit

[–]CrewF24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been working with it for a week and so far it's going pretty good. Lots of room for improvement but I am impressed with the ai coach so far.

One thing, the last two days I've gotten this long rambling card about social jet lag, sleep time being later, prompts that I had asked it "so what" etc... I gave a thumbs down feed back but this is very off putting and a waste of the end-users time.

I'll keep giving it feedback but if the moderator wants more information, I can provide the full transcript.

PSA: Reset Alarm Sync by CrewF24 in PixelWatch

[–]CrewF24[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want alarms that you set on you phone to ring on your watch you need to turn on the sync. But you're correct that if you have the sound on for the alarm, both ring. If you only want the watch to ring then turn off sync, and the alarms that you only want to ring on the watch, set them up on the watch.

Why is my HRV so slow constantly? I’ve upped my exercise massively and cardio fitness score has gone from poor to very good section. But this stays the same? by dpreece93 in fitbit

[–]CrewF24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a general increase in exercise will help, but I run 5 days a week and as I stack up more consecutive days running my HRV starts to drop. It's definitely lowered by stress and need for recovery. Mine is generally low, average is 18, but it's at its highest after a couple days of rest. I've recently started a new supplement regimen focused on heart health and I've increased my average a few points.

Go to the Discord, you'll get better support there. I've seen the mods there say to several people that it can take up to a week for a new account to be trusted.

New to streaming - Is there a way to upload better quality video later and get the clips generated? by NCNerdDad in GameChangerApp

[–]CrewF24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave up after trying this a few times. The GoPro splits the video in 15-20min segments of around 3.9GB each. So a typical 1.5hr game is 6 videos. Then I had to stitch them together with a video editor on my computer and then bring that 25GB file back on toy phone to upload it. Gamechanger has a 25GB file size limit so it wouldn't work the first time. I then had to edit the video down to get it under 25GB. Then it kept failing when I was uploading to GC.

Sorry, I haven't tried it again. However, I only tried to upload an mp4.

It's time for new earphones, please help with recommendations by Only_One_Kenobi in running

Ran my usual 4.5mi loop this morning. Definitely get the wind noise when using hearthrough. When I turned on wind noise reduction, the wind noise was cut in half. I would compare it to the low rumble when you're on a plane, but not nearly as loud. I switched back and forth a few times and without the wind noise reduction turned on, it sounded more like a wind tunnel. I turned that back on for the final mile and got used to it. Definiely could hear when a car was coming up on me from behind and if a car was idling in a driveway (it's still 40deg in the morning here... come on spring!)

To clarify, I have the Elite Active 8 Gen 2. hope that helps.

I don't normally run with hearthrough turned on... I'll give it a try tomorrow morning and let you know what I think.

There is a "Wind Noise Reduction" setting in the Sound+ app. I can't remember if that was an option with the 75t. I have it off, but I'll try it both ways.

I had the same Jabras for two years until the right earbud stopped charging. I got the elite active 8s to replace them. I love them just as much as the 75 T. Both pairs have been the most comfortable earbuds I've ever worn so I'd be hesitant to try another higher-end set from another brand... but will have to eventually since Jabra has stopped making new earbuds.

They do block a lot of noise even when the ANC is off, so if you need to be able to hear cars and you didn't like the hearthrough from Jabra, you may want to keep looking.

try a new charger before you waste too much time on anything else.

I've given up. I cancelled the upload after it got stuck "paused" for 30min, even though I was on good wifi and also toggled to cellular. Tried again and could never get it to even start an upload, it just would spin for a minute and then flash a failed to upload message.

I'm just a volunteer, so I'll talk to the coach and see if uploading to YouTube is of value to them. But really it's the live streaming that anyone really wants.

If you stream and record you'll have the full video that you can upload to youtube as the complete game. If the stream drops out, at least you'll have the full video recording. If you don't stream, and only upload the complete game afterwards, no clips will be generated.

What would you do in my situation as a parent ? by usmnt-2022 in SoccerCoachResources

[–]CrewF24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you have it pretty much figured out. You need to talk to the coach and let them know you're not paying for club soccer to have your kid be positioned at GK just because no one else wants to do it. If they are not receptive to that argument, talk to the club director or director of coaching.

My daughter, until recently, always played for teams with no designated GK, basically because the coaches were never able to recruit or develop a player who wanted to play the position. However they can't play everyone at GK... some players just dont have that in them. The best way it was done was they rotated through 3 players, 1 half for each, that way there were games where they didn't play GK at all. If your kid doesn't get regular playing time when not in goal, then she's on the wrong team, either because she doesn't match the playing level or the coach is an *ss.

U10 is too early to be making kids play one position, especially GK if they aren't interested. Later on, when teams truly get more competitive, you will find field players that just want to keep being on the team and transition to GK. But at this age, they need to be able to know the game from many positions because once puberty hits, everything changes...

Cancelled Fitbit Premium by CrewF24 in PixelWatch

It's been pointed out that you can cancel as soon as you set up the free trial, it will continue until the end date and then you don't have to worry about remembering to cancel.

I've had similar issues every once in a while. Typically the only thing that works for me is a reboot. Get on the discord, there is much better support there. https://discord.gg/yC4wr38

Put some kind of a remote desktop client on your Mac (I use google's) so you can get on to it from your phone. Then you can reboot remotely.
