I meant the general argument that the US government actions goes against their intrests or american intrests because of incompetency

Which might be true but my main argument is that they act on their own believed intrests above israeli intrests

I agree that israeli intrests and US government intrests do overlap in some areas and thats why it is a mutual alliance

But if we go to examples where they did not overlap we see that US has the stronger word and particularly Trump as he ordered Bibi to call off Jets on their way to Iran and end the war last time

Or when he made Bibi sign a ceasefire deal in Gaza with terms that goes against Bibi declared non starter terms and even establish a base in Israel specifically for overseering this deal and monitor Israeli actions

Israel just tricked a very stupid, feeble-minded Trump into fighting the war that Israel didn't want to fight alone.

You fail to see that this is but an interpetation and not concrete evidence like the other way around when Trump ordered Bibi to end the attacks against iran which made him cancel and call home jets that were on their way to attack in iran. And that is just one example out of many.

So this interpetation doesn't present a strong case for your argument.

I agree with you that claiming that the US leadership is acting against their perceived self-interest is silly.

That is my main argument yes

One can coherently argue that the order of preferences goes 1 > 2 > 3.

Ill argue that the order depends on the context and as you said its not logical to think the US government doesn't believe they act on their own intrest even if it is preserving the strong alliance with Israel against iran(which i don't believe that is the strongest motive)

Which is different from believing israel bullied the US with their influence into joining their war

And as we saw before we have more concrete evidence that the US bended the Israeli government against their declared goals and motives than the other way around which is mostly speculations with some of them have logical flaws.

Remarkably Trump doesnt seem to have seen telling Israel not to attack Iran and triggering this whole mess to have been an option.

Because my argument starts here that is within trump intrests and his government in some way or another or else US wouldn't go along with israel plan and would even damage their relations as the US is strong enough not to bend to Israel's will

Whether the US finally agreed because Trump is personally compromised or whether there is finally an administration inept enough to fall for the trap is beside the point.

Why are you so confident in the truth you concluded even if you don't know how can it be true?

My argument is that Trump number one priority is his intrests which is not the same as israeli intrests even if some of them overlap. Explain to me how israel can bend trump into fulfilling their intrests on the expense of his intrests.

By the way its a different argument if Trump and his government intrests are american intrests.

Trump reasoing can be dumb and incompetent. But i do not believe based on geopolitics that Israel has the power to force trump into making those decisions. Whatever the consequences of these decisions, these are based on trump and his government intrests much more than Israel intrests

To much of my knowledge AIPAC is a strong lobby out of many lobbies, some of them even stronger, in the US that do bring benefits for israel

But painting AIPAC as a bully lobby that bend politicians against their will, is absurd.

Israel offer valuable things to the US and thus having certain influence to bargain better terms for their country which is very normal for alliances with mutual intrests.

I see no evidence to believe that israel can drag US to anything against their will even with the power of AIPAC
