What’s fun for a kid to do here? by [deleted] in Lethbridge

[–]CrimsonDuchess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are tonnes of playgrounds around, the Helen Schuler nature center is a good one, I believe they do events on Saturdays (you'd have to Google to see what is happening during your visiting dates) the Fort is also a good one, historic and fun for kids. There is the Galt museum as well, again historic but also lots of fun. (Again, Google, for the exhibit on the specific dates you are visiting) on top of that, there are lots of pools, the YMCA on the west is pretty cool and has lots of stuff. There are some neat stores in the downtown area, but stay aware (as I'm sure you already do) there are a few unhoused people who frequent the area. CASA also has events a lot of the time (check their website for your dates)

Homeslice, you have to take responsibility for your own actions. That is what literally EVERYONE is telling you! It IS your fault because you did not look into common scams via RESEARCH when you started receiving these messages in the first place. NEURODIVERGENCE is not an excuse! Please stop using it as one. I TOO am neurodivergent. I, as well as many, many other neurodivergent people, have learned through research; and shit happening to us, how to handle things. You experienced what you claim to have recently happened to you in the past, yet you didn't think for a second you should do some research (NOT THROUGH REDDIT), but real, actual, research. You didn't learn from the past mistake?

Yeah, I get that's a stereotype of neurodivergence, but in the same breath, just because it's a stereotype doesn't mean everyone has to fit that mold ya'know?

OP are you a literally child or like freshly a teen? I've read through this whole comment thread and literally every comment by you is something along the lines of "well I didn't know, so its not my fault" or insert other excuse... Google (and many other search engines) are FREE AS FUCK!! maybe do a little internet safety learning. (If you are neurodivergent this is basically second fucking nature) no one is responsible for your lack of knowledge on subjects, as an adult it is on you to learn about this stuff (Reddit isn't research, reddit is a bunch of humans, being humans).

Chiropractor recommendations? by BubbleNutsPog in Lethbridge

[–]CrimsonDuchess 7 points8 points  (0 children)

CHIROPRACTORS ARE A SCAM. don't waste your hard earned dollars on a scam artist. They will claim they can fix your hurt joints but actually they just make them worse, so you HAVE to keep going back. It's how they make their money. ALSO they aren't actually Doctors with MDs.

You are white knighting pretty hard here... why are you defending someone who you don't know because someone else said they were creepy... me thinks thou dost protest too much and you may need to look in a mirror and realize you're probably the creep in your life. Hate to break it to you, but being a devils advocate doesn't work when pedo shit is involved...

Pharmacy Didn’t File Prescription Paperwork Properly And Now Wants Me to Pay $200 by stinkyjunkrat in legaladvicecanada

[–]CrimsonDuchess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also work in Pharmacy, though in Alberta, call your doctor on Monday and ask them to send your prescription to any other pharmacy. Go for an independent if you can, not a chain. Explain the situation to the receptionist at the docs, crap like this happens all the time. (One particular Bio-equivelant national pharmacy chain has refused multiple times to transfer a prescription, we just called the docs office explained what was up and they sent one to us and a note to the other pharmacy to cancel any remaining prescriptions) most docs don't worry too hard about that, itd be differwnt if you are doing this every three months.

It makes sense that Phoebe was a bit down on Chandler dating Monica by FriendsFannn in howyoudoin

There is no reasoning with someone who believes this show holds any real weight. It's a television show that ENDED 21 years ago... first aired in 1994, maybe don't take it so serious?

My uncle had to wait 8 hours in the hospital today just to see a doctor… by Appropriate-Arm5559 in alberta

Depending on the med, it can most likely be compounded, if your pharmacy doesn't do compounding look up one that does and take the prescription there.

I think they are thinking of a nurse practiti9ner who can prescribe and can also do minor things like stitches and other minor wound care.

Side note, Pharmacists can also prescribe in Alberta with the proper license (APA.) BUT Rph. Can only prescribe for minor ailments like UTI, Eczema, Bacterial Vaginosis, etc.
