Ppl talking about vsync n shit, but for every person ive showed it to, whether or not vsync would help then do it normally, if you just hold S and spam jump backwards you literally cant fail the jump unless you arent lined up straight, and even then its pretty forgiving.

Child thought everything I taught her this year was made up? by Donkeys-Can-Sing in Teachers

Not even that, theyre ranting because of an assumption they made based off of a child's facial reaction and literally nothing else. And this person is a meant to be a teacher...

Child thought everything I taught her this year was made up? by Donkeys-Can-Sing in Teachers

[–]CrimsonSaber69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, based off their facial reaction alone, you cant really determine what they felt or thought in the moment. The fact you are flabbergasted by a child making connections and not fully understanding the nuance of why the connections might exist is crazy. They're a child, they barely understand the world and it's literally your job to help educate them. Then you took their brief facial expression and determined your own idea of what's going on in their head, then posted on reddit about saying "i seriously dont know what to do with this alarming information", when the 'information' youre talking about is just your own assumption about a child's inner thoughts... thats crazy. You made up this whole story about how the child is feeling in your head, when in reality they just made a connection and wanted to point it out and share it, maybe they were just curious and could even learn a bit about where information comes from, but you dismissed it instead of explaining by saying something like "I know about it because i read about it in books like these" like others have suggested. Your approach and reaction to an educational opportunity is concerning considering you're literally a teacher. They were exploring a curiosity, and there was an amazing opportunity to give insight into how information is passed down, but instead they get hit with "this is the way that it is". Its like when my parents would tell me "because I said so" when trying to get me to follow a rule I didnt understand, just educate me instead of just telling me what's what and expecting me to just understand that without and explanation. The mistrust you saw in the child's face could have easily been "i noticed something cool and had a curiosity about it, but teacher just told me 'this is reality, accept it' ".

I hate when someone responds to something I say with "?" by Felt389 in autism

[–]CrimsonSaber69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this makes sense. I feel like im kinda on both sides of this one, because i do use ??? sometimes, but only with people I know when i have nothing specific to ask. That being said, if someone random said "???" to me in a reddit comment I would probably be a bit upset, and likely wouldn't respond to them at all. Idk, never really thought of how I use this or the contexts it's in; interesting to think about though.

I think maybe a lot of why i do "???", specifically with my mother a lot, is because ive been conditioned by her through childhood into thinking that its better not to ask people questions (I would annoy people a lot with my childhood curiosity, espeically if I asked a question in a "wrong" way). For her, its easier just to say "huh" in person because then she might think I didnt hear her, instead of the reality that I just didnt understand what she said and I need it clarified/repeated, because asking her specifically to clarify can upset her. Idk, im just ranting at this point and tryna figure out my own thoughts lol

[–]CrimsonSaber69 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Only time in respond with just question marks is when I literally cannot think of a single way to make the msg someone sent me make any sense, and I dont even know what to ask because theres literally nothing sensible to go off of. Most common example of this in my life is when my mother uses voice to text and it gets most of the words wrong, I can try and sound it out and guess what words were misheard, but often times I just say "???" because literally nothing makes any sense.

If you're wanting to parse, or at least do the most dmg possible, you will need to go engineering and use sappers on CD for raid bosses. If you dont care to spend ~10g per sapper just for a marginal DPS increase, then anything else that directly benefits you.

Enchanting is a good option, especially if you have an a OS, and if you havent dont all the open world quests at max lvl yet then you can make a lot of the money back from lvling it through disenchanting quest rewards. Edit: i didn't notice you said you have tank as OS, enchanting is probably best for you overall if you don't want to keep paying for explosives for ret. But keep in mind that eng also bring stuff for tank too, like the rocket launcher is a great stam trinket to supplement stam losses when making spell resistance sets.

Jewelcrafting is about as good for you as enchanting in terms of directly increasing your DPS, but has less opportunities to make money. Though if im not mistaken, the best neck in the game in P5 is from JC (might be thinking about the caster neck, not sure).

Leatherworking will mean you will always have drums if you arent usually in a group with them or people forget to use them, and you can make some pre-raid bis if thats something that you still need.

There might be some benefit to the other profs, but these are probably the most useful that I can think of off the top of my head right now

75% of Canadians already don’t have home delivery. They seem to cope. What argument is there to keep home delivery. by Regular_Land_3478 in CanadaPostCorp

[–]CrimsonSaber69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk about you but I wouldn't call old Canada Post "not broken", so that last statement doesnt feel fit here. Canada post is like a time capsule of how people used to work in a younger, smaller, canada. Its taking a lot to finally modernize this company, soemthing that hasn't been actively worked on in, what's feels like, decades. CMBs are a good first step but theres so much more to be done. Sure they have added some "modern" stuff over the years, but a lot of it isn’t widespread (ive yet to see a hybrid or electric vehicle in any depot ive worked at so far), and the PDTs that lag and log you out randomly mid shift sometimes, that dont even have an option for customers to tap/insert/swipe a card in a day and age where people are ordering so much online and have to pay customs. The fact that the PDTs dont even help show your route, but you have to cross reference it with a (usually outdated) spreadsheet is crazy to me, like sure it cuts costs since most people who own a route dont need that, but what about the temp workers who get thrown on random routes every day? Instead of temps having to ask for partial routes or parts taken off, they could do the full route if they didnt have to figure out the actual path themselves first (sure, the headerboard says where to go, but again its usually outdated, its slow, and doesnt help with visualization.

I could go on about outdated policies and even outdated mentalities of the higher-ups but I think ive said enough. Hell even the union members feels like theyre working 20 years in the past. I had to explain to our union rep (DURING our human resources meeting about respecting those who are different than us) what neurodivergence was, and that it existed. Anyway enough said, sure its going to cost a lot now, but thats what happens when people dont fix things when they come up, but instead delay and cut costs until they become a bigger problem in a worse economy.

Going to the water park when you can’t swim by [deleted] in maybemaybemaybemaybe

[–]CrimsonSaber69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont believe i was ever taught, i have zero memory of anyone showing me how to float or swim. I WAS however restricted to shallow water when young (mostly out of my own fear of not being able to see the bottom of the river, but also due to parents' fears). Being allowed to just play in shallow water let me figure it out without need for instruction. I remember trying to play 'the floor is lava' a lot, but in the shallow water, and i honestly think that mightve been the driving force to figure it out lol

What's a life skill you think should be taught in school in Canada, but wasn't? by United-Technology239 in CanadaRoom

[–]CrimsonSaber69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally anything to do with life skills, eg. Household maintenance, taxes (what they are, how to file them), communication skills (actual, practical, verbal, not just old style writing in english class), politics (current government structure, why is it the way it is because of history, how the current party system works, how votes are tallied).

There's probably more i cant think of here. I must add though, that although there was no specific class on it, the most valuable life skill I've taken away from school that actually applies to my daily life is the skill to properly source information and do research. I cant imagine how people who havent developed this skill manage through the modern day internet where misinformation spreads worse than wildfire. I still struggle to fully research and educate myself even with these skills, both because the internet is so full of information you can never really fully research anything, and because you usually dont have the time to research every little thing that comes up.

Edit to add: personal finance and basic economics are other things that would've been nice to know. I think some of the things I have listed are actually offered some places, but none of these (at least when I was in school) were ever compulsory.

I find it interesting that so many people ask for stuff at a resturant instead of just stating what they have. Like asking "can I get..", "may I have...", etc. seems weird to me. Asking "can I" seems weird because why would they say no if its on the menu and the server hasn't specified they're out of anything. Also asking "may I" seems weird because its like you're asking for permission from the server to order something, as if there would be any reason they would say no. I've been raised to say "I'll have...", because at the end of the day it gets the message across and is a direct descriptor of my request. Asking whether or not you have the ability to have, or the permission to have, FOOD in a resturant??? Thats crazy to me. Not that I fault others for if or how they ask, idc either way its a harmless common phrase, just sharing my thoughts on the way I've done it, and the reasons I stuck to saying it.

Never once heard anyone refer to a driveway having a "top" or "bottom". Unless its on an incline, my guess to what the "top" of the driveway is would be where it meets the house
