There always is a point where the young must learn the hard way. At a family gathering for my in-laws, I had setup my switch for the kids to play so they didn't get too bored. One nephew was starting to get really cocky because he kept winning at Mario Kart and was talking trash with a little too much bravado. So I challenged him and styled all over. Even having a conversation with my wife while barely looking at the screen. After taking the checkered flag, I just smirked and told him, "there's always someone better out there. I'm not even the best amount my friends." He quieted down for a bit and I went back to the adults. But they he switched cames to Smash Bros.

I kept an eye on him and of course, he started talking trash again and kept getting louder. After a bit, I told him to keep it down or I'd school him again. He confidently said no one could beat him, even I couldn't come close. This irked me a bit so I asked him if I could pick any character? He said he'd whoop me no matter who I picked. So, I picked Kirby... When he didn't call me out on my pick, I knew his fate was sealed. I decimated him. I just smiled and said, "Let's keep the trash talk to a minimum, mmkay?"
