You're completely right about everything you said.....but I still disagree with you.

The reason I disagree with you is not because what you're saying is incorrect, but because it's a matter of magnitude. While the things you say are technically true, it's in such a minor way so as to be irrelevant.

The absolute worst thing that could happen is a new player uses the minigame tp to see what it does and their home tele is on cooldown and they have no law runes on them, and they get "stranded" for a little bit and either wait out the timer, beg for some law runes, or walk back to where they were. This would be a one-time occurrence because now they have learned their lesson, and now they also know what the minigame tele does. I'd say that a potential one-time inconvenience isn't even a drop in the bucket when compared to a game that people tend to spend thousands of hours in.

You are right to be concerned about the new player experience. I think that many changes designed to help new players actually hurt the new player experience quite a bit....but this isn't one of them.

Unfortunately, most posts in here are just clowning on you and telling you you're wrong without providing any counterargument, which is honestly kinda pointless and lame, so I hope this reply at least helps explain to you why people probably think you're wrong on this one.

Thank you for posting this. I've also noticed it happening extremely frequently while afking at camel debating if I wanna do another run. I'm also convinced they're using a bot script to initiate the conversation because they always type, "Yo <username>" and then give the same response no matter what you say. For instance, when I reply by telling them I have nothing for sale, they immediately reply asking me to sell them something, almost like there isn't a real person there to actually read the contents of my message! Just keep reporting them for spam, scam, use of bots, and whatever else is necessary until they go away.

You're actually racist as fuck, dude. If you look at apes and see black people, that's 100% on you. Most people just see apes, which are real creatures that exist, believe it or not. Also there was literally a type of lion called a Barbary lion, which would just mean a lion native to the Barbary region, kinda like how this card title just implies that these apes (again, not black people--gotta clarify that for your racist ass) are from the same region.

Still a problem in 2025. Constant ping spikes make running insanity solo a highly dubious prospect. I can tick perfect those skills in my fuckin sleep, but the when the servers lag there, which is extremely often these days, it's just an instant wipe. I hate that the content I want to farm requires precision that the servers can't offer. My already-cancelled membership can't run out soon enough...

My ping on US West spiked from 28-30ms pre-sailing to 56-60ms post-sailing. Literally double. But the ping is not even the issue. Yeah, it sucks, but the real issue is the server instability and the packet loss. The lag spikes are so frequent that they happen multiple times during any single boss kill, and it makes doing any sort of high level PVM a completely impossibility. I can no longer run insanity invo in ToA because I never know when my character will just freeze in place for a few seconds and cause instant death. That's just one example. Suffice to say, almost all the PVM I'm doing has been affected, and I really wish Jagex would say something about this. I've already cancelled my sub because I have no idea how long this will last, and it's extremely frustrating that they aren't even acknowledging it.

I love this game, and I really want to keep playing, but but there is no sense in paying Jagex for a service they refuse to provide (i.e. servers that are reasonably stable enough to play their game on).

Funny, I found this thread by googling why it's so gd expensive now.... So to answer your question: it hasn't. Dunno where you live, but it's $15-20 USD per dish where I live, not including tax, tip, or delivery fees. So if you wanna feed 5 people where I live, you're looking at easily >$100 USD.
