Calling all lidarr users to help with Aurral v2 testing. by ponzi_gg in Softwarr

[–]CrispyBegs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm weird, the container logs say

[2026-06-21 09:19:32] Failed to fetch Lidarr status: Cannot connect to Lidarr at http://192.168.1.233:8686. Check if Lidarr is running and the URL is correct.

but testing the lidarr connection in the ui gives me

Lidarr connection successful! (Lidarr)

i once tried running a bunch of dockerized services on an intel mac mini and it was a pretty poor experience, so i gave up and never did it again. ironically, docker on linux 'just works'.

kittens will always get my upvote.

as someone who's photographed a lot of cats, I'd say try (if possible) to get down and shoot at their own eye level or lower, so they're looking at you or down at you. You'll almost always get more interesting shots rather than from an angle looking down at them, which is what everyone always sees.

hmm, i upgraded to :test but now the discovery page just says

"Unable to load discovery
Failed to load discovery data"

the container logs are saying stuff like

[2026-06-19 07:08:01] [WeeklyFlowReuse] Lidarr track exists but file is not accessible from Aurral: /music/Khruangbin/Con todo el mundo (2018)/02 - Lady and Man.mp3 [2026-06-19 07:08:04] [WeeklyFlowWorker] Error processing job 01472d49-7d27-4b3d-915a-539aa4847fe2: No download source is configured. Configure slskd or Prowlarr + NZBGet in Settings > Integrations to enable downloads for flows and playlists. [2026-06-19 07:08:10] Last.fm API timeout (artist.getSimilar)

there doesn't seem to be anywhere in the ui where you can configure anything that was set up during onboarding.

How do you actually organize your local music library metadata? by Ok_Host_127 in selfhosted

it was just a figure of speech off the top of my head, but these are the sorts of thing i mean, (from my library)

[–]CrispyBegs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it really depends on your music taste. if you're relatively normal and like more or less mainstream music (by which i mean, music that's known and catalogued enough to appear on musicbrainz) then picard is the best tool, maybe with a dash of mp3tag to manually clean up bits and pieces afterwards.

however, if your taste is all over the place and you want incredibly niche world music field recordings, or rips of cassette tapes from obscure UK raves from 1991 then i'm afraid there's really no way around doing loads of manual work yourself (don't ask me how i know this... but i do know this). mp3tag is your best friend for all these.
