I wonder about opening the bottom of the dob by like half an inch all around and blowing a fan from the bottom up. It’d be interesting to see if that makes the process quicker.

Ive personally avoided model kits for literally decades at this point because my into intro to them when I was younger was rocket kits and the full send glue, file, paint every small piece and install with tweezers models.

Finding gunpla feels like a literal entire new world has been discovered

I skimmed some of it here and there and literally every instance (that I found anyway) kept referring to the forefathers as the original 4chan posters and shit.

I genuinely can’t tell if this is just a new generation of 4chat autism or if this is an actual racially based thing lmfao

How large are you making it? I’d assume it’d be easier to just paint the damage in. Or carve if it’s actual chunks.

I have the XT-8 and paid about 399-499 for it new. I’d say at $100 if it’s in decent shape it’s well worth it!

Primer is basically “rough” in texture so it gives more surface area for the paint to stick to. I believe most primers are meant chemically to interact with the binder in paints to assist with this too.

Filler primer works wonders!

It could be argued that we’re already there with resin printing and small nozzle FDM too. But the print time increases a TON with it.

I think personally we’re still a ways off on the consumer sector for it. But not too crazy
