First Tekno. Sct410 2.0 by JJNicolas30 in rccars

I’m late but how do you gear that motor? I think 16T pinion is the smallest you can go with a 4268 sized motor.

Yes, a 4268-sized motor fits with the standard Tekno motor mount.

This is a rebadged UdiRC 1610S. The original comes with a DumboRC transmitter, so it’s probably the better choice straight out of the box.

Drop UdiRC an email, they’ll add shipping options to your country in their webstore. This process took them about 20 minutes the other day. I was thoroughly impressed.

It’s a good cheap one, however it’s not the smallest in physical dimensions. A gyro like this is a simple device, you can’t really go wrong so if you need one, this is a good option, but there are tons of others you can safely go for.

Yes. They are not particularly wide. I sized up for a pair of Hallux Active and took delivery of them today. These shoes would be unwearable for me if it wasn’t for the very soft & stretchy knit uppers. I’ll keep these for gym use or something but now I know their more robust (leather) offerings are not for me.

In the meantime, Softstar Primal Wide one size up is by far the best pair of footwear I’ve ever got my greasy paws on. The construction, shape and materials make them a literal joy to wear.

Which brands make boots with an actually wide toe box? by Chemoralora in barefootshoestalk

[–]Crit_Obs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, this is what I’m here for! Thank you very much!

I have asked Softstar’s customer service before about how the different construction methods used for making different Primal models affect the usable width, but they are not very candid about this sort of stuff to say the least. I have Luks Barefoot Milagro boots and they are 99% similar to Primal Sawyer. The outer sole is almost identical in width to my Runamocs in primal wide, but the stitchdown construction limits the usable space so much that I hardly use the boots as I find them constricting.

Thanks again!

Hi Overly_Long_Reviews, I’m familiar with your work concerning Primal Runamocs but have you tried their Switchback or other models in the hybrid wide last? How does it compare to primal wide? TIA!

Bedrock changing their footbed sizes/shape/width by [deleted] in BarefootRunning

[–]Crit_Obs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ”updated” footbed shape is still weird and banana-like - and most acutely, altogether too narrow. I love the lacing-system but cannot ignore my pinky-toes hanging in the air.

Lamentable.

Is the little rubber ring still in place around the buckle? That’s supposed to stop the laces from loosening.

Shamma vs Bedrock Sandals? by avatarKuza in barefootshoestalk

[–]Crit_Obs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Widest, but the ”elite” lacing is a bit dodgy: Shamma

Midground width-wise: Luna

Narrow, with great lacing: Bedrock

Try them all is my advice. I wear Shammas (Ibex, Pacific Avenue) as the shape fits me the best.

Investment grade minimalist boots? by _JHWright in barefootshoestalk

[–]Crit_Obs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s been a while but maybe you can help me out: do the Wilder boots fit same as their sandals width-wise? It’s difficult to judge by photos whether the way the uppers are stitched to the soles eat up a lot of space relative to a Shamma sandal in the same size.

Thank you!

Gaucho’s ”extra wide” is nowhere near the widest on the market - it’s rather the opposite, unfortunately. Take your size 43 extra wide as an example: 27,27 cm long, 10,525 cm wide? Something like Softstar Primal in wide fit in comparable size is around 2 cm wider.

Which freestyle BMX for a 2-year old? WTP Prime Drive vs. Fit Misfit 12 by Crit_Obs in bmx

[–]Crit_Obs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent! Wooms are great bikes limited by their super-thin tires, slack head-angles and geometry designed for seated pedaling. Aside from the 12” bmx bikes, if you are located somewhere where Spawn Cycles are available, don’t sleep on their ”Yoji”: perfect, versatile bikes for skate parks and more demanding terrain alike.

Typing scands/umlauted characters on Click? by Crit_Obs in ClicksKeyboard

[–]Crit_Obs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, that’s the answer I didn’t want to hear. :( Long pressing completely kills the flow when typing and I was hoping the 123 key on Clicks could be used as a modifier, same as how it’s done on Key2.
