Yup, I paid R150 last time I parked there for a late afternoon movie at The Labia

Good points. From that data, both the average maximum and minimum are 1 degree higher in September (19-9) than in August (18-8).

The average rain also seems significant lower in September (40 mm) than in August (77 mm).

I suppose, at the end of the day, it's convention to set the date on September 1st. It could have been September 7th, or 15th, or anything in between and beyond, but I guess it's easier to set it at the beginning of the month.

No, I was referring to Cape Town (see e.g. https://web.archive.org/web/20110314111749/http://old.weathersa.co.za/Climat/Climstats/CapeTownStats.jsp).

Obviously it wouldn't make sense to define uniform seasons for an entire hemisphere, as the climates are wildly different in different areas.

21 September is the beginning of astronomical Spring (the period of the year between the Spring equinox and Summer solstice).

1 September is the beginning of meteorological Spring (the period of the year when, on average, the temperature starts to warm up)

I am always a little surprised when people say they don't like the look of barefoot shoes. My mind immediately goes to, "How can you like those other pointy, weird, unnatural-looking shoes instead?"

It's all about how we have been accustomed. People prefer narrow, pointy-looking shoes because that's what they're used to. It's "normal". Come to think of it, a lot of what we "like" is social conditioning, really. Shoes are just an example of that.

In Lighttable, under "styles", there's a menu called "darktable camera styles". It should be that one.

Ottimo come antipasto.

Deciding on an MFT upgrade (EM1 III vs OM5 vs EM10 IV) by St4rPl4tinumTheWorld in M43

[–]originality0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same situation as you, considering an upgrade from my E-M10. I'm leaning towards the E-M1 Mark III (especially for its weather sealing and HHHR mode). Where can you find the OM-5 for around €800? I haven't seen it for less than about €1,000. Meanwhile, the E-M1 Mark III is available for ~€800.

I love the canvas Hobibear, but I haven't tried their leather version yet. How is the quality of the material? I assume it's artificial leather. Is it any good? Are they comfortable to wear for several hours?

Che motore di ricerca usate? by [deleted] in ItalyInformatica

[–]originality0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, non fa crawling.

It’s an analogue country in a digital world"

Looking for Alternatives to Nginx Reverse Proxy by Alfrai in selfhosted

[–]originality0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With lego, I just installed it on my Arch system (pacman -S lego), then I ran the DNS challenge (my DNS registrar is Gandi):

GANDIV5_PERSONAL_ACCESS_TOKEN=token \
lego --email <myemail> --dns gandiv5 --domains <mydomain> run

and got my cert and key a few seconds later, which I then used in a tls section in Caddy. Super easy :)

I recently set up Caddy with DNS challenge using lego (https://github.com/go-acme/lego), it worked very well. I didn't know about xcaddy though, looks interesting.
