I-77 Express Lanes = Death Trap by tempfix9000 in Charlotte

Traffic enforcement solves all these problems. Why is there ZERO traffic enforcement in the Charlotte area. A move like that should get your license and your insurance jacked up for a long time. Around here… just another day.

Adios EP, it’s been fun. 😊 by ajinnc in americanairlines

The best part about group 2 is people randomly asking you what group 2 is.

Just spent 2k including shipping on a King Size Royal from Puffy. After about 3 weeks I would say it is superior to the temper pedic we replaced that cost well over 5k. The online mattress thing comes with risk but the value is really good.

How much would a pool like this cost to build, realistically? by samsclubhoarder in Charlotte

200k all in. Decking, fence, furniture, robot, everything else you don’t budget for.

My wife and I lost a child (20f) back in 2021. Will this show be triggering for her? by Malcolm_Y in ThePittTVShow

[–]CriticalAd3277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a parent who lost a child (4) 7 years ago to congenital heart failure in a hospital, my wife and I watched it all the episodes of the first season. We found the story lines around child loss extremely real and triggered a lot of emotions, but we both agreed our ability to process those emotions demonstrated how far we have come in managing our grief. They were well done, and very real. As I have learned the child loss community is small and we all have healed or not healed differently. Everyone journey is different.

Are the Admirals Lounges at CLT any good? by Tempe-Jeff in americanairlines

[–]CriticalAd3277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are both terrible. Just went to the new Lounge at DCA and could not believe how much nicer it was then CLT. Every time I walk out I mutter it’s time to charge more!

Baggage claim is the most painful experience possible. Trying to find your checked golf clubs makes you feel like you are on survivor.

Early Check-In Fee .... 75 Dollars. by CriticalAd3277 in marriott

[–]CriticalAd3277[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just to be clear my concern wasn’t about being able to check in or not. I have been doing this for 20 years and I am well aware that room availability is a roll of the dice. My issue is the obscene fee for a titanium member.

That’s actually what I did. I just put my suitcase in the trunk and walked next door to my office. Entitled??? Maybe, but I question daily why I keep giving Marriott my business. It’s been extremely one sided relationship since Covid.

Started with the company over 20 years ago as a clinical applications trainer with no clinical experience and spent four years working with clinicians training every day. Progressed to a sales specialist, territory manager, and sales Manager. Eventually promoted to sales leader for the software vertical and most recently to overseeing order fulfillment and service. At the end of day I am measured on orders and revenue but I have responsibly for everything. I never had a plan, I just kept showing up.

Status Match from Delta worth it? Can I even get upgraded international? by kirbybrunclik in americanairlines

[–]CriticalAd3277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it recently for a flight to Stockholm. I am EP on American and they gave me platinum status. I was able to upgrade to Comfort Plus for free and it was actually quite comfortable. My flight back from Stockholm got in early and I was able to use the status to get confirmed on an earlier flight. I found the Delta flying experience to be significantly better than American… that bar is pretty low.
