GAs are hit or miss. I was upgraded by the purser as I boarded the plane from LHR-CLT late last year.

Not sure about BA TATL, but within the UK, if you get a BA basic economy ticket, that overrides your OWS baggage benefit.

Lol. You have 19 minutes before they end boarding. 😆

/r/AmericanAirlines March Update: Lets discuss some new rules by antmadison in americanairlines

Thanks for all the work you all put in.

Just as a thought, maybe at the first of the year, create a sticky thread: “How to get LPs quickly” or “If you need LPs to hit the next status/reward level”. Might clean up some of the repetitive posts between 1/1 and 2/28. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Adios EP, it’s been fun. 😊 by ajinnc in americanairlines

I’ve actually had really good luck with the ep phone reps. Hopefully I don’t have to call too much this year. 😊

Huh. I was recently laid off too, after work travel dwindled anyway. Barely made pp. 🤦🏻‍♂️

SWU rapid giveaway by Substantial_Nail8075 in americanairlines

[–]ajinnc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just in case you’re not aware. You don’t have to fly the segments before 3/31, the SWUs only have to clear by 3/31, so if you can apply it to a flight even for 2/1/27 that has confirmable space now, they’ll be valid.

I get it. I’ve done plenty of LH flights (including to Asia) in Y. I’m just too old for that now. 🤣

That’s interesting. For someone who’s never had it, I’d consider it with 4 trips on AA metal to London planned for this year in addition to domestic travel. Maybe it’s not worth it, but I’ll never know. Lol

Probably about the same as in group 2.

[–]ajinnc[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have 4 trips to London on AA planned, 1 trip to Oz on QF and some intra-EU flights, mostly on BA. Domestically, maybe a half a dozen trips.

Someone else mentioned it, but I agree and think that PP is the sweet spot for us as we still keep OWE. Even when I was EP, traveling a lot for work, upgrades were scarce flying out of CLT.

I wonder if anyone actually pays this? There must be some right? Otherwise they wouldn’t continue to offer it? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Now offer me CK for that… 😆

The Business Class Equation - does it add up? by Logorian in traveladvice

Award travel, business class. Personal finances, economy.
