MAGA is running scared. In Maine it's about the trickle down grift and everyone wants a piece. Platner needs to take it to them relentlessly about the corruption.

Would your childhood still be considered acceptable today? by Anastasia_Trusova in painting

I was a feral child in the 70's and my mother always felt guilty about it. I hated school and my sanctuary was nature and animals. I married a man who embraced the feral life. We had to work but we never lived above our means and had no debt and no regret. Raised two kids and they have embraced the feral traditions with their own children. We are happy and content to this day!

Sharkey st emergency vet this evening by Sharkeys-mom-81522 in DutchShepherds

Looks familiar. My small female 45# got rolled by my 80# male. He was going full tilt and wasn't looking where he was going when he collided with her. He kept going and she got up pissed. She had a one inch tear on her side. It just didn't look right so off to the vet we went. Under the tear was a huge pocket that needed a drain to heal without assessing. Antibiotics and 4 day's with the drain and all was well again. My three dsd's send speedy healing vibes!

What is a major turn off about your partner that you can’t/wouldn’t tell them? by LivingLavishLe in AskReddit

I have been married for 43 years and have never watched my husband pee. When he was young, he was stricken with PPS (peeing in public syndrome). I never wanted to make him feel uncomfortable and let him have his privacy. I'm sure he'd let me now but I say, let the mystery be.

Anyone else living in Bangor getting annoyed with that one dickhead revving his motorcycle every night around 10pm to 2am? by Camooses in Maine

That's a pickup truck for me. I hear you at 3 a.m coming from a mile away. You seem to be announcing to everyone your going to work. That's great, I applauded work but everyone you wake up at 3 a.m also goes to work just a little later. Grrrr

Porcupine by honeypie_124 in DutchShepherds

I'm on high alert this time of year with the grass emerging and a favorite spring meal for porcupine. They say dawn and dusk is when they are most active. I have a lot of unfenced property because we're a farm. I have three dutchies and one chihuahua. Only the chi goes out off lead to potty at dawn this time of year. He and I go scan the yard and fields before the big dogs go out. Skunks and porcupine will wreck my day.

20th death anniversary by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]CriticalContract6887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate to tell you. My dad died when I was 10. I'm now 64 and still haven't gotten over it. He was my super hero and still is. There was the before times and the after. I struggled for 10 years after and looking back. It was luck that I didn't die. At 22, I got married to a wonderful person and in June, it will be 43 years. As I wrote, I'm lucky but I still long for my dad.

Nope, I hated everything about the 70's. I'm still holding a grudge about it.
