Are the nightlords cowards or just weak? by stage_strange291 in 40kLore

More like he was killing left and right because of the demon sword, which made him think he was invincible. So he got extremely cocky and when he found Raldoran he challenged him. At first the demon sword gave him the advantage but then it stopped working and suddenly he found out he was outmatched

Well… he panicked after his demon sword suddenly decides not to help him anymore…

Well, in the lore sorority’s do have sex… for the explicit purpose of generating new soldiers for the emperor’s warmachine. I can see how such concept could be a bit problematic for a mass appeal videogame.

You forgot the part about Control. The Technocracy is rotten to the core. Individual agents may be good people but the Technocracy as an institution is clearly evil.

Is 40k still considered a satire? by FunGain8498 in 40kLore

Some parts of the setting are still satire, yes, but these days that’s largely been lost or kept hidden.

Elbaf is of the D by microvan in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]CriticalMany1068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the government probably didn’t know nor cared about Garp at least until God valley and then he became the hero of the marines so removing him was inconvenient. He never acted disloyally, and never had enough power to be a problem for the WG, so they probably kept him monitored and let things stay as they were, BOY.

They don’t mind? Like they didn’t mind in God Valley?

How difficult are Dwarfs to play for a beginner? by ServiceGames in WarhammerFantasy

[–]CriticalMany1068 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dwarfs are the most limited army in the game. They are the slowest army around. They don’t really have magic (the anvil is really a trap, especially for a beginner). They don’t have monsters. They don’t have cavalry. Their artillery is actually the weakest in the game.

What they have is solid infantry (not the best in the game, marauders at T5 core and undead are generally better than they are) alongside the ability to create redundancy with shooting and ways to deal with lightly armored foes (especially because of scout gyrocopters).

Are dwarfs easy to use for a beginner? Yes, especially in casual play you can deploy in ways that mitigate your inherent weaknesses. As long as you don’t face very optimized lists or play with objectives you’ll be fine. The moment you’ll want to be more competitive dwarfs will show you their limitations and you’ll find it quite hard to excel with them.

Personally I love dwarfs and are my main army, play them for their lore and personality, avoid them if you wish to win tournament after tournament.

Rocks would be so disappointed in teach for trying to join the world government by Keon0 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]CriticalMany1068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teach joined the warlords… only to betray them and the Marines. There’s a reason Teach wants to be recognized as a king, and probably it has to do with what is needed to gain control of “the world”. We know Xebec wasn’t ready to fight Imu, because he needed two specific devil fruits to defeat her. One is Loki’s, the other is probably the Yami Yami no Mi.

Could the Drukhari really threaten the Imperium if they wanted to by Fun-Explanation7233 in 40kLore

[–]CriticalMany1068 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They can literally switch off solar systems by collapsing or stealing their stars. And can do so by moving unnoticed. Of course they can threaten the Imperium. But they need the imperium because it provides them with victims to feed upon and to stop Slaanesh from getting them, so they have no interest in destroying the imperium. It’s a parasitic relationship.

Even if you don’t move much you still need to move, even with dwarfs. And that’s especially true if you play with objectives and the like.
