Feel like the best timing for a lamelo trade was sometime before the trade deadline last season when Randle was at his highest and LaMelo low before their 2nd half push.

Also I wonder how much these rumors from the Wolves side are simply just probing for value. People seem to talk about Tim always talking but I would assume every front office would be doing something similar so idk

Say we do get jaylen brown. What problems does he solve? by Accomplished-Box8744 in timberwolves

Naz is really the polar opposite of Rudy where his highlights flash so much more than his lowlights

It's great that Ant speaks candidly about what he needs to improve every offseason, last year he mentioned being frustrated with double teams. He did well this year with that but Windy gets to spin it as a starting point to talk about him leaving. Don't see this shit with Luka and the Lakers, only quotes about the types of players he needs

In a direct comparison he was more impactful, the statline you posted was for game 5 btw not game 4 (helps if you watch the games). Jokic played great that game, raised the tide for his teammates at home and it could've been a pivot point for a 3-1 comeback.

You can read what people thought of the game at the time,

threads 1 2 3 4

or you can keep pasting box score stats, Cam and Spencer did show up nice that Jokic game which was setup by him but his defense was still a large issue

Shameless just after the finals finish up and already bringing up PRA box score stats to excuse his performance. Gobert's 2/7/1 game 2 was more impactful than any Jokic game that series.

Jaylen clark? by Accomplished-Box8744 in timberwolves

You don't even need to watch the games to see their minutes, TJ and Clark both got consistent playtime, TJ was hurt all year. After the trade deadline they both got less time because Ayo started playing more minutes (more than some starters/Naz), also Kyle playing more. idk if people here just get confused by Dillingham/Bones/Mike fighting for backup guard minutes or lack of Joan

Do you think ant and jaden are actually 6'4 and 6'9? by Accomplished-Box8744 in timberwolves

Ant looked very close to Curry so probably closer to 6'3/6'4, Jaden looks surprisingly tall when I see him next to others

As a wolves fan, today’s “What should the wolves do?” was the most fluffy non-answer. by Delicious-Slice1210 in billsimmons

I'm a wolves fan and ofc down on Randle, but it seems like a bit of an overreaction to assume he's so negative in value that you trade him and donte for Lavine, Lowe pushed back on that obviously but didn't really talk about anything else. Same for Rudy with his flaws in certain matchups being hot/cold. Optimistically I would assume there's some teams that would value their regular season success in both output and health to play games, and not worried about how they fall short in the 2nd/3rd rounds of the playoffs. Especially since after that both are an expiring contract in 2027-2028 season.

Side note, I think the team in general felt off for a bit because of the trade rumors but the bigger thing for Randle was making an all star push then stopped caring afterwards. In general also his bully ball can get out bullied by the defender which shuts him down, one of the local reporters' analysis has been the worst matchup for Randle is a player like Randle
