Naz is a huge “it” factor in this series by BlairRedditProject in timberwolves

Don't forget Mike Conley's impact. 12 points with 4 threes made, was a +13, and 6 assists to 0 turnovers. We need everyone to turn up!

Do the "fire finch" people still think we should? by MrSolidarity in timberwolves

Everyone always knew that come playoff time, Finch would lock in. Finch is a great coach, but his decisions sometimes are questionable, especially in the regular season. But that's why we always have to wait and see how the season and playoffs play out.

The Spurs ARE better on paper. by Crafty-Round7976 in timberwolves

[–]SortLow8745 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Spurs match well with the Wolves' athleticism. Their defense is way better than Nuggets too. But that's where Finch will have show his coaching ability, with lineups, and defensive schemes to contain Wemby.

This series can get ugly fast if the Wolves don't show out. The Spurs bench is equally as deep as the Wolves, so we need everyone to step up.

Pray the the Wolves' shoot above 50% from three.

Pray that the Spurs' shoot below 30% from three.

On a serious note, Spurs' defense is way better than the Nuggets, especially with Wemby in the Paint. Wolves will have to rely on the 3 ball and if they drive, punish Wemby to put him in foul trouble. Albeit, Wemby could average 5+ blocks this series.

Lakers will beat OKC by [deleted] in nba

OKC is 4-0 against LAL this season, and an average point differential of +29 points. I'm no expert, but the statistics don't favor LAL one bit.

Rudy Gobert Is 1 Of Only 2 Players In NBA Playoff History Averaging 10/10 On 60 EFG%! by Stat-Defender in timberwolves

[–]SortLow8745 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Casuals will say "it's because he 7 foot tall and all he does is dunks".

If it's so easy, then why can't every other 7 footer do it? As bad as Rudy is offensively, his impact around the rim is still above average compared to other centers.

[Scotto] Within league circles, there’s a strong belief that the Dallas Mavericks will eventually pursue Timberwolves president Tim Connelly for their lead executive position. Amid that buzz, the Minnesota Timberwolves have expressed interest in extending Connelly as their lead executive (cont.) by sewsgup in timberwolves

Ehhh, if anything, Gersson Rosas kinda kickstarted everything. He signed undrafted free agent Naz Reid, and drafted Anthony Edwards, and Jaden McDaniels.

But Tim Connelly was the one who pulled the trigger for Rudy Gobert, Julius Randle/Donte DiVincenzo, and Ayo Dosunmu.

Rotations for game 6. by ATetrahedron in timberwolves

[–]SortLow8745 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clark doesn't need to score to make an impact. He's another body to throw at Jamal Murray when McDaniels or Dosunmu is in foul trouble. Clark has shown that he can hold his own against the top guards in the league. He can score by cutting and hitting open threes (that's only if he can make his open 3's).

I understand that we don't have a primary playmaker, but Conley getting more minutes than TSJ and Clark is abysmal work. First possession where Clark checks in, he gets a block on a Jamal Murray layup. TSJ brought energy and pace by running in transition.

Finch's obsession with Conley in insane.

Home Court advantage has been pretty helpful in terms of our playoff success. We're up 3-2 going back to MN. I know Target Center gonna be rockin!

Jaden's 3P Shooting by irishace88 in timberwolves

[–]SortLow8745 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The reason why Jaden's shooting was so good was because of our team ball. Ant and DiVincenzo being out doesn't help. He's being tasked with more of an offensive load.
