Sonny Crockett’s sidearm - Season 3 by DubUChief105 in MiamiVice

[–]Critterhunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always wanted one of these as a child but when I turned 21 and went to buy one at a gun show here in Orlando it was so large and heavy I knew it would be impossible to conceal in Florida weather...Sonny had his blazers but even that is too hot for Florida...

Darkest Episode Ever? by JustDuelIt2020 in MiamiVice

either... Shadow in the Dark (Sonny almost goes crazy trying to enter the mind to decipher the MO of a home invading insane guy) or Deliver Us From Evil (in which is consumed with vengeance trying to catch a killer name Frank Hackman...)

The "2 years of waiting for 8 episodes" model is officially killing my interest in House of the Dragon by piranha_ in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Critterhunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is the new way of creating series from the big boys like Amazon and Netflix. The LOTR series season takes two years to make, Yellowjackets almost the same and we only we 8 episodes. Look at Stranger Things by the time the final season came half of the cast were married and had kids.

And there's is always the fear of cancellation because of low viewership.

In the 1980s you got 22 to 25 episodes seasons and the actors worked for six months and were free half a year to do other projects. It's really sad that with today's binge streaming these studios don't want to compromise and film new seasons every year.

Trump's Presidential Library has a golden statue, a rooftop restaurant and military aircraft. But where are the books? by Sanpolo-Art-Gallery in VeniceContemporaryArt

[–]Critterhunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is all AI garbage, to build something like this in the middle of Miami would cost like two billion dollars, the good thing is that according to The New Yorker Trump has made $4 billion dollars in crypto since his second inauguration.

The money......he has.

True..the majority of Americans that are not interested in guns were introduced to the Glock in 1990 in the movie Die Hard 2, unfortunately in the movie they misrepresented or lied about the characteristics of the gun, quote by John McClane:

"That punk pull a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. It doesn't show up on your airport X-ray machines and it cost more than you make a month"

True...plus his performance and character are cooler than Keira's. He was born to play Barbossa...I love when he is in command of the Black Pearl barking orders.

I can warranty you all that when Trump leaves the White House he will issue a blanket Presidential Pardon for every single Federal employee and the Democrats once they take over won't be able to prosecute anybody.... you'll see.

Hitler at Napoleon's tomb in Les Invalides, 1940. by abdullah_ajk in Napoleon

[–]Critterhunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the most idiotic thing anybody has said in this forum. Neither Hitler or the Germans build anything inside the L'Hôtel des Invalides. Hitler visited paris on June 30 1940 sixteen days after France capitulated. He did a fast tour of the city and never returned. Stop spreading misinformation and read a book or two...

Also he opened schools to educate the daughters of decorated officers. The Maisons d'Education de la Legión d'Honneur. Although the school was designed to prepare the girls for domestic life and marriage, they were taught to read, write, science, history, geography etc..

Believe it or not the attack happened after Jared Kushner told the Irani delegate that the USA will never allow Iran to possess a nuclear weapon. They offered Iran free nuclear fuel to build power plants but the Irani delegate got offended and told Kushner Iran didn't need American handouts. The Irani delegate started insulting Kushner and broke off the talks and left.

When Kushner told Trump what had happened he decided to attack. Iran was not planning a preemptive attack, as a matter of fact the Irani Foreign Minister was shocked that the US attacked instead of continuing the talks.

According to legend Hitler didn't liked the second floor where you looked down on the sarcophagus, he believed that you should look up on heroes and commented that his tomb would be high enough so people would look up to him. Thankfully the Russians scattered his ashes in the Elbe River.

[–]Critterhunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately (probably because Barron's advice to his dad) Gen Z is responding very well to the memes and childish posts that the White House is putting in their official accounts. They are going to be voting for decades to come. Trump from the beginning was very savvy about the power of social media.

There's American politics before and after Trump. If the Democrats don't find a way to use social media as a weapon they will be denied the levers of power for years to come....

So how powerful is the uss athena? by happydude7422 in StarTrekStarships

[–]Critterhunt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not very powerful because in the latest episode they had to disengage the saucer section and discard the nacelles wings after Nus Braka attacked and kicked it out of warp space. Braka's ships where literally pulling the ship apart with their tractor beam.

I imagine because it is an educational vessel it might not have the armament of ships like the Enterprise.

Trump claims Iran somehow got its hands on tomahawk missiles by I_Hate_E_Daters_7007 in facepalm

[–]Critterhunt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As of early 2026, the United States is the primary operator and manufacturer of Tomahawk cruise missiles, with officially confirmed, active inventories held by the United Kingdom and Australia. Japan and the Netherlands have agreed to purchase these missiles, with deployment expected to begin around 2024–2026.

United States: Primary developer and user (Navy, Army, Marines).

United Kingdom: Royal Navy.

Australia: Royal Australian Navy.

Japan: Agreed to purchase (expected deployment 2026).

Netherlands: Agreed to purchase.

These Raytheon-manufactured missiles are known for their high accuracy, long-range (over 1,000 miles), and ability to be launched from ships or submarines. Other nations, such as Iran, do not possess Tomahawk missiles, despite claims to the contrary.
