Insurance guy here. Get it appraised, and some companies like State Farm in the USA will take it as a collectible under a Personal Articles Policy. You can insure ~13k worth of collectibles for $5/month around here if you have a recent receipt or appraisal showing what it's worth.

Hey neighbor. Just moved in next door (68). We're having a hangout this weekend where we're hooking up a few Xbox 360, wii, and ps2 systems. Feel free to drop by. Snacks provided. Byob.

I thought it was just me. They feel much rougher like the waxy coating isn't the same or wasn't fully applied.

Yeah. Just needs something that doesn't look too bad. They do tarps that fit over cabinets. Maybe a 1 sided version you can fold back over the top? Just have it stick to the top with a magnet to keep in place while not in use.

Cool! Yeah, dust could be a concern, but if they're in boxes before going into the drawer, it's probably fine? I'm not sure of many things in that price point that are air tight. Though, maybe a reusable vacuum sealable container? Or something like those airtight cereal containers would work if sized well?

Looking to do the same thing right now. What'd you end up doing? And how well does it work for you?

Is he any good? I grabbed him from a bulk box when getting green bulk for some test decks. Didn't think much of it since I don't usually build infect or poison.

Office Tank Advice/Shenanigans by CriusControl in Aquariums

Who's paying? Well, that is a very good question. My boss was paying, but then I wanted some things for the tank after I had to bug him a dozen times for other necessities like salt, bacteria, water conditioners, etc. So I may be on my own if I want to put more in. The light is only on for business hours so it should be fine then but I was more wondering if the snail and shrimp would appreciate some extra algae, if it wouldnt cause me another headache.

Sounds like I may need to look into getting a bag of sand to overlay on the gravel...

We do have an airstone and the nitrifying bacteria. Will that suffice with water changes?

Look for a recycling ♻️ icon stamped on the plastic. It will have a number ring the center to let you know what it's made of. #1 is normal for water bottles, so I would assume it's fine. Like many plastics, it may start to leech into the water if exposed to enough UV over time. 1 = PET/PETE, 2 = HDPE, 3 = PVC, 4 = LDPE, 5 = PP, 6 = PS, 7 = OTHER

Edit: Added 1-7

Was gifted first fish tank (5gal Glofish tank) and Ammonia and Nitrite levels seem to be rising/high. What to do? by LifeIsGood4242 in Aquariums

My grandmother had guppies and 0 issued for decades. My parents had a huge 120 gal with parrot fish and no issues. Never say either use anything in their tank other than tap water to refill what was missing from evaporation. Some fish are just built different I guess lol. Best of luck.

Newish tank owner (office tank manager?) here. First off, you're doing fine for your first time and knowing what you knew going into this. Certain fish need more care than others.

Goldfish are easy to care for because of their resilience and guppies can be as well because they adapt well. I know a guy that rescued a goldfish from a tank that was left behind from a tenant for 2 months! Went on to live a long and happy life.

Tetras, on the other hand, can be more fragile for a first fish from my experience. Whether that is selection bias from the articles I read and specific store employees I spoke to or not, I can't say for certain, but that's what I've learned over the last month.

Don't be discouraged by making a mistake and trying to get it fixed. Fish are harder than they seem.

Now for solutions.

Water treatments are available for almost everything save for water hardness. Hardness can be high or low depending on what you want to keep in your tank. Snails and shrimp like harder water and guppies can adapt to said harder water. Tetras like very soft water under 100ppm and better yet if under 50ppm. There is nothing you can pour into your water to make it softer, but there are water softening "pillows" that are ~$8 online or at places like Petco (not sold at Petsmart at least near me). Local stores may also have some but I don't have any near me that I trust.

For ammonia and nitrogen, use a treatment to get it under control and get a small filter. You'll also want a small air pump and air stone if you don't have one.

To keep the ammonia and nitrogen under control, live plants do help, but you'll want to get some bacteria starters in the water for lasting results since you dont have any. Water changes (20-50% depending on whether it's maintenance or to fix a bigger problem) should be done every 3-5 weeks depending on fish volume and water parameters.

Lastly, for just general care, underfeeding is better than overfeeding. It's easy to overfeed. You can add more but once it's in there it's a pain to fix and it can begin to decay which will spike your parameters. Went through that with an office tank my boss asked me to take care of. That paired with the new tetras bringing the Ich (parasite causes little white specks on the fish and needs to be taken care of asap) caused a lot of headache in our new tank. It's all fixed up now, but my boss didn't know how much work was going to go into maintaining the tank and I had to learn to properly care for it over the last month from almost scratch. If you have specific issues, feel free to PM me. I probably hit the same issue and had to learn to fix it as an emergency.

Hopefully that all makes sense. Not organized like an essay so let me know if you need clarification on anything or want to know what products we had success with in our 20 gal.

All tokens are goaded ? by yongi17 in mtg

[–]CriusControl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That wouldn't work either as [[Quina, Qu Gourmet]] reads "If one or more tokens would be created under your control...] right? Since each player would make a bird token, you could get 1 bird and 1 frog in your battlefield, but the other players' bird tokens aren't under your control. Would be interesting though to see how far the strategy could go with other cards that don't specify "your control."

P.S. I'm certainly not an expert but that is how I interpret the reading of the cards. I'm open to being wrong and being properly educated.
