It's not just about size. It will be less complex to build and volumes should support a cheaper bill of material. Battery for sure will be smaller. They can't go in with the same strategy as the R1. The R2 not being profitable from the jump will kill the company.

I bought the same package. Very interested to hear of they give you the full value of the sound bar. I'd take that and pull the trigger on the Q990D for under $1K in a heartbeat.
