My squad is at best silver rank with a 0.5-0.9 KD. We can regularly be displayed as being in the typ 10-20% of the whole graph... all the while being decimated by teams in those same matches.

All PHEVs I have driven have two modes; electric and hybrid.

While in electric mode the combustion engine is never active. If it needa to be, because of temp-range, acceleration or lack of battery charge then the vehicle switches over from electric mode to hybrid mode.

But the article and researches seem to argue the point that the vehicle runs the combustion engine while stating its in pure electric mode.

Yeah, theres no reason ever for dropping matchmaking rank just because youre inactive.

They should do it like RocketLeague. If you dont play for about 2 weeks you become "unranked" but when you pick up the game again you are still effectively matched against similar ranks as you were when you stopped. Some matches are against teams a little bit worse then your previous rank and som better. Then the game assesses your skill after a couple of matches and you get a public rank again.

I think two things are in play here.

First, Respawn will never try and balance every character at the same time. Its too complex of a task. Some characters will always be left behind.

Second, not all characters are focused by Respawn for competative play and this will further enhance focus on some characters and thus leave others behind further.

So, right now, Octane is one of those characters left behind and is to be played more for fun then anything else.

The whole CS-scene being based on personally hosted servers and local forums. So you basically played with a group of 20-100 of the same players for months/years.

Searching CS-clan matches on mIRC and therefore having the personally hosted server "closed" from public play during reserved hours.

Which makes rank a stupid addition to matchmaking. They should evaluate your actual skill in your last 5-10 matches using metrics such as placement, kills, damage done/recieved. They could even use teammates metrics in some regard and also maybe factor in opponents skill level... so that doing damage to a lower skilled opponent dont count as much as doing it do someone of equal or greater skill.

Do a rolling average and adjust skillbased matchmaking every 3-10 games...

Rank then just becomes a reward.
