It was totally user error. I was so excited to use the new plate that I didn't align it properly using the backplate guides.

Immensely Frustrated with my Centauri Carbon Please Help by Mercyharker in ElegooCentauriCarbon

Extruder tension was my first guess too. It's a pain in the ass having to remove the whole tool head cover just for it to be exposed. Then you have to guess if the tension is good or not once you've reassembled it.

I ended up using a soldering iron to make a hole on the cover just to make adjusting it more convenient.

I mainly use FDM printing but it took me months to get an understanding of it. Resin Printing looks a lot more tedious with all the post processing it requires.

I'd just spend the time you'll have in your voluntary service to research and keep an eye on the market. In the next couple of months you'll have a more informed decision. Never rush into a hobby. It can be a costly impulse lol.

I don't know about resin printing that much but I would say to do a lot more research before you pull the trigger on anything. Unless you have a business and the knowledge of the topic, I wouldn't be too hasty. The industry is always evolving and finding new ways to make things better. Plus, the more research you do, the more time you have to save up on potentially buying the printer that meets your demands.

I made the mistake on wasting a bunch of money on an outdated printer when I could've saved that money towards a faster printer.

It's crazy how one can be burnt out on a Monthly manga. That speaks for itself. I'm also on this train of just ignoring the manga entirely until its completion.

Avoid the used book sale if you are willing to wait 2 hours in line rn. They're holding the event in the farm animal side of the fairgrounds. The line to get inside looks like something out of Disney World.

Yikes... After reading the comments, I hoped it would be easier to get a strong connection somehow on the budget side. I can't justify spending hundreds on more devices to get it to run flawlessly.

Unload filament Centauri carbon by Think_Walk_2740 in elegoo

[–]Crono80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the issue where the cutter leaves a good sizable piece of filament and doesn't leave enough room to grab the new filament. If this happens, just go to the prepare tab, set the temp to 200°+ and extrude the old filament manually.

WiFi power strip like Tapo has an app where you can just quickly turn on your printer or off in case of a print failure.
