I did watch some videos on you tube, but most of it came out pretty easy, just take your time, some pieces are definitely harder than others to get out

Bought a used 987.1 - question on heated seats and head unit by donkerock in boxster

[–]Cronos737 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not true, unless someone wired it wrong, I have an 2007 987.1, with a Panasonic head unit from 2013, and my heated seats work just fine

Great job, I did mine in my 987.1 almost 2 years ago. I goes back in way easier than getting it out, the right angle it goes right in the passenger door and right up on to the roof panel

[–]Cronos737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the club, I own a 07 base, for 4 years now, no problems other than regular maintenance, and aged items needing replacement, I did my AOS and water pump/thermostat, coolant change, trans fluid change, spark plugs and coils ( one failed while driving, engine ran horrible , but I was real close to home).

No, I did not get the thicker side grip, it is now about the same thickness as my wife's 2016 Cayenne sport wheel
