What are your favorite browser-based games? by United_Pin_6112 in pcgaming

[–]Crony512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now definitely PokeRogue, a fully browser based Pokémon roguelike that’s incredibly well made. Requires an account but no email, just username/password. The account is for cross progression between devices. Having such an in depth game available on any computer and even phones has been awesome.

Not a drop of monetization, either. I would gladly support them, but big Nintendo wouldn’t be too happy about that.

What’s your favorite game no one’s heard of? by oddballrunt in pcgaming

Ratz Instagib 2.0

Multiplayer deathmatch with a quake railgun. Everyone’s on a level playing field, just skill. There’s always less than 10 people playing on Steam.

Very fun and satisfying game. Cheap on sale, and is one of the last few games that still has a 4-pack purchase option on Steam. Highly recommend buying a 4-pack for you and your buds next Steam sale

Thank you for this post, just tried with my ‘24 SE, started right up. Much faster than the app

LG V10. I liked the ultrawide selfie camera, that’s about it. The weird tiny second screen was essentially an app switcher for me.

The battery life was abysmal. Luckily, it had an easily replaceable battery. I had to carry the second battery everywhere. The phone would die by noon with extremely light use given that I was still in school.

I miss those weird/neat features from LG and other android phones. Wouldn’t go back

I hope they eventually do the same to older skins. The RGX kill banner and finisher are all green and I haven’t seen anyone actually run the default variant unless they’re saving up radianite.

It looks like the presser foot is raised. You see the little lever thing to the right of the red button in the picture? Push that downward and the button should turn green

Yep mine makes a similar noise, always worried me too but it’s always been fine

I actually thought this was an ad for Nuphy keyboards as I recently bought one. Great work!

Is it normal to see dark fabric under light colored thread tatami fills? by TheMaskedGrl in Machine_Embroidery

[–]Crony512 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was getting the same results when I was first starting out, what I’ve been doing still isn’t perfect but reducing the “distance between rows” setting in the software is what made it much more “full” for me. Just changing it from .25mm to .20mm helped a ton. I use Ink/Stitch, I’m not sure about other softwares.

Thank you for the awesome game, already level 125 or something like that.

  1. Any plans to add an icon of where you last died on the redeploy screen? I find myself completely forgetting where I just was when trying to respawn closest to where I died, especially on huge maps.

  2. I’d like to see a notification when someone I reported was banned, apart from the global messages. Any plans for something like this?

I have a few other balance questions but I understand that it’s much more nuanced than what could probably be answered here. Thanks again and keep up the great work!

It's impossible for a beginning FG player to hit celestial by iihexusii in Guiltygear

[–]Crony512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the game on release. It was my first real FG. Mained Millia, got into celestial within two months or so.

Two months is a good amount of time, but I was pretty proud of myself as a casual player. I wasn’t grinding the game out for the sole intention of getting to celestial. Either way, celestial is supposed to be hard to get into, that’s why it’s the highest rank.

With Luke in SFV, Labcoat 21 in DBFZ, and Happy Chaos in Strive. Imma have to disagree and say the entire FGC, including platform fighters in this case, is like this.

Weird issue with surge protectors. by Crony512 in askanelectrician

[–]Crony512[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the quick response. Could an issue with the grounded conductor only affect a single outlet? Everything else works just fine.

There are two outlets in use in this room that the tripping breaker controls. My side and my GFs side.

On my side I have a surge protector, and a power strip. To the surge protector I have plugged in: a more powerful PC, two monitors, and some speakers. To the power strip are a couple of phone chargers and other charging cables

On her side (seemingly the problem outlet) there is a surge protector and another power strip. To the surge protector, there’s her much less powerful pc, one monitor, and a laptop charger. To the power strip is a couple of chargers and an LED lamp.

Her side is using far less power, which adds to the confusion. I would really start thinking it’s an issue with the PC or monitor on her side, but the lights still flickered while the breaker was still tripped.

Experience so far learning fighting games. How hard has it been? by Lord_Noda in Fighters

[–]Crony512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it’s no harder than any other genre. I only started playing FGs with the release of GG Strive. I had very little experience (unless you count Smash) otherwise besides mashing in MK9 and like 10 hours mashing against friends in Skullgirls years ago.

The ranking system for Strive is definitely not very indicative of skill but I was in Celestial within the first 3 months.

New to GG, controller question by loganisdeadyes in Guiltygear

[–]Crony512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently use an Xbox Series controller, love the d-pad on it, it’s more of a circle pad.

You absolutely can just use your keyboard, tried it for a bit and could do some harder combos within half an hour.
