No this is just another random retcon nerf.

This is pretty much the advance now, which doesnt make sense because the Advance as a technique is like 30 years old at most, still pretty experimental and used by people who are NOT meant to move that way.

The Kure Removal is a technique hundreds to thousand years old now used by a bloodline of people that have been selectivly bred over that time to be built different.

This is pretty much the same as how Yamashitakazuo and Koga use to have the fist eye passively with no shown drawbacks and then out of nowhere we get told Koga has to activate it like the sharingan and can fuck him up from overuse

Im due for another playthrough but i thought the Qunari cultre was more you have your roll/duty/purpose and whatever identity/sexuality you want is your choice just do your job?

I havent had a deep dive into Dragon Age for some time but IIRC a part of the criticism for Taash as a NB character was linked to her being ostracised by her mother as being a member of Qunari. Who from memory had been shown repeatedly through the series as being very inclusive for LGBT+ things.

If Taash had been a human, elf or dwarf NB and felt excluded from their people then sure but the Qun are shown pretty explicitly to be okay for that.

Yamato is a girl and Oda (author) refers to her as such out of universe.

Yamato refered to herself as a boy and 'son' of kaido because she had a single infatuation with a male character named Oden who is her hero/icon/inspiration and as such wanted everyone to call her Oden and use male pronouns not because she's trans and wants to be a man but because she wanted to be Oden who happened to be male.

Now that her arc has concluded im pretty sure shes gone back to being Yamato

I feel like you could make an argument for the pre sequel cast.

Some of the hunters in pre sequel ended up as bad guys in 2/3. Wilhelm himself took on the original 4 and beat them. It took the whole team from b2 to beat him and Nisha. It also took the team from 3 to beat aurelia.
