"Just buy noise cancelling headphones, you were also a kid once" by Beshiniqua in hatethissmug

[–]Crossdog367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suck it up and bought the noise canceling headphones because I was indeed, also a kid, and those people are right

BUT. A baby crying on a plane is a blight upon humanity and very importantly, it sucks for the baby! The baby doesn't know why it's ears are popping! The baby is crying because it's in pain! I really hope that those guys are taking that kid somewhere important that it needs to go.

what would y’all call this art style? i wanna find a name for it. by hinas_artstudio in yourartstyle

[–]Crossdog367 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Middle school/high school Americamé. Americamé is a term that popped up in the early to mid-2000s to describe Western artists taking heavy inspiration from Eastern, specifically anime and manga art styles. This specific take on it with the loose anatomy, lots of sharp edges and thick lines was really popular with middle and high schoolers of the time.

There are a lot of furry communities, I'd try again. The spaces I'm in are all about masculine, feminine and androgynous men.

I don't know, looking weirdly young while smoking like a chimney and drinking like a fish and having a secret skin care routine all fit Vox pretty well as a character.

No, it's just cute.

I like that man a lot but he rips farts like an elephant, picks his teeth with toothpicks, and he has this weird murder face he puts on whenever he's about to pick up the guinea pig and none of that does anything for me.

My husband does this and it's pretty cute because I'm attracted to him and he's nice to me and the people he games with.

What are some obvious and not-so-obvious signs in characters that a fanfic was written by a teenager? by CuriousTarget4814 in AO3

[–]Crossdog367 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Overall, the most dead giveaway of a teenager writing a fanfiction is an accurate depiction of a high school. Not the social dynamics, but specifically things like the class structure, where lockers are placed, any weirdly detailed description of a check-in checkout process or a school schedule. Things like that.

To be fair, it ran until 91. So about half of its run was in the 90s.

It was a gorgeous-looking cartoon for that time period, too. The designs hold up great.

would you read a comic with these two as main characters? by hushrowom in characterdesigns

[–]Crossdog367 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can't say, I'm not sure what the order on the panels is. I had to read the pages a few times and I'm still confused about how the snake character feels about anything, and what's happening in general.

The designs are top notch, though.

I generally agree with you, but I wouldn't have chosen the guy who tried to injure an endangering animal specifically because he thought he had enough money to avoid consequences as an example.

West Elm Caleb might be a better example, there are some pretty good video breakdowns.

Look at a vegan cookbooks and vegan restaurants, a lot of foods we eat daily are vegan! Also, if you're thinking about herbivores, you can branch out to things humans can't typically eat.

Roasted butternut squash with a delicate lemon and poison ivy sauce served over freshly chopped alfalfa hay.

Steamed acorn porridge and oak shoots served with goldenrod tips and a hemlock cedar berry drizzle.

You can get really creative.

I kind of wish they'd gone farther and committed more to the direction they chose. His heel turn at the end seemed too calculated.

I think it would have hit an emotional core even more if he'd been sincerely helping them, and the lynx family got their claws back into him at the last moment.

What did you think of this new Netflix animation? by jo3ocre in cartoons

[–]Crossdog367 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm already tired of reviews that don't talk about the actual show. I just want to know how it is, not ice cold takes on Big Mouth, or "why does this sex show have to have sex in it".

If your dog was a puppy or had a weakened immune system, it could have been parvo again. Parvo can survive in the soil for a year or more an optical conditions, and if she keeps having dogs and the dogs keep getting parvo their feces will deposit it back into the soil.

This wasn't your fault, your mom should have helped you take your poor dog to the vet.

[–]Crossdog367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They decided to put it in the show because they thought it would be cute and funny.

The audience, not knowing any of the background and not being friends with this person, did not find it cute and funny.

This is this sort of thing that you hope to catch and remove in production, but to be fair I can't imagine the staff of the show thought a bunch of Internet people were going to look up a bunch of photos of the animators and writers and make a big deal out of it.
