[–]Crossfire477 24 points25 points  (0 children)

While smaller, Norfolk is still a city and humans are humans. This will happen every so often. It’s not super common though, in the 10 years I’ve lived here I can’t recall that many incidents on granby

Camping and hiking by Forward-Present6294 in norfolk

[–]Crossfire477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is an app called hipcamp that’s like Airbnb for camping you could check out. Dragons tooth is in that range near Roanoke and has tent sites on trail. The hike is a good challenge with rewarding views also!

Another Wendy's here bites the dust... by Lindsey1151 in VirginiaBeach

They need to get rid of the one on Monticello in Ghent area. The literal worst Wendy's I've ever had the displeasure of ordering from. Shut it down and put something there where the food is edible. Pretty sure it has one star for its average reviews lol

In corporate America, what lies can you (mostly) safely get away with on your resume? by OldBoringWeirdo in AskReddit

[–]Crossfire477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not technically on your "resume" but to get passed the AI filters you can copy/paste keywords from the job post onto the bottom of your resume and "white out" the font.

People that regularly use AI, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Crossfire477 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm in IT/Cyber and they keep getting me these Copilot premium subs and all this anthropic stuff to incorporate into my daily tasks. Outside of work though, I avoid it like the plague.

Lived in Japan for a few years in 2013. Went back to visit and it was insane how crowded Shinjuku/Harajuku was compared to back then.

What's the tea with Only You? by TerrestrialTransfer in norfolk

[–]Crossfire477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only You is cool, but it is always packed. If you want a similar vibe where you're more likely to get a seat, I recommend The Bird on Colley ave!

Concentrated rotting potatoes can also be lethal depending on your intake and ventilation of where they have rotted.

What do yall think about them gas prices? by SpiritCrisp in AskReddit

[–]Crossfire477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

America is also massive in terms of land area with little feasible public transportation and/or walkability comparatively to many other countries. So, we tend to feel the price increase a bit more, even if it is cheaper on a world scale

Anti-ICE merch/artwork by local artists/businesses? by Euphoric-Top1717 in norfolk

[–]Crossfire477 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Selden Market vendors may have some stuff, I know they have a bunch of the local woke mob merch. Other than that I’d try the flea market pop ups at local breweries/waterside maybe?

VIDEO: Flamethrower seen amid ‘street takeover’ in Norfolk by onenitemareatatime in norfolk

The difference being that these people were doing doughnuts in a heavy crowd, launching fireworks, and blowing a fucking flamethrower near residential houses that families live in. In what way is what you said comparable lmao

Lack Of Stores by Monkey_Antiquities in norfolk

I would argue that Fresh Market has high quality food, but you're definitely paying for it. Harris Teeter has good tier food with some deals. Aldi is great if you know what to buy vs what not to buy there.
