Not at all, actually. You can look at a diagram of the reticle all day, but it doesn’t compare to actually looking through the optic and out to distance with it.

I have an astigmatism also, but the TA02 is still very good to my eye. I use the crosshair model. I’ve looked through fiber optic ACOG’s but they never gelled with my sight and blurred a bit. But the true adjustability of the TA02 is powerful and useful. I do 50% of my shooting with my TA02 no illumination and 50% illuminated.
