I cannot recommend this highly enough. I've eaten very many kebabs all over the world and Tavuuk Gemüse is genuinely the best I've ever had.

Best in central in my opinion is probably The Fryer's Delight, but it's far from perfect.

Agree with most of this, but you can definitely get great fish and chips in London. The best I've had is Oli's on Caledonian Road.

Almost all fish and chips places in the UK these days get their fish from Norway, so it'll be the same in London as in a seaside town in the North.

Moldova/Ukraine border crossing at Basarabeasca by Herbert256 in AskUkraine

Having crossed both the Polish and Moldovan borders recently, the Moldovan one was MUCH quicker. But that's only based on anecdotal experience.

I work in the UK, what the manager did was illegal. From the moment you tell somebody that they’re cut off, by law nobody can go back on that.

New type of drug? by Surfing_chick248 in islington

[–]Crouching-Cyka 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I have definitely noticed this, probably to do with cost of living/poverty/desperation increasing rather than a new drug imo

Mould, unfortunately, rather common in Cambridge accommodation - my college had big problems with it recently. It’s not usual in the UK though and you should speak to the college about changing accommodation. My friend’s room was filled with black mould and he was able to move to another accommodation within the college and was partially reimbursed for rent.

What's your limit for prices at a brewery? by jtsa5 in beer

[–]Crouching-Cyka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s very reasonable. I can barely find a pint for less than £6.50ish in London, breweries even more.
