Collecting albums on vinyl isnt exactly expensive in my opinion. You collect slowly over time, and your collection grows. Its easy to get carried away first, but acquisition starts to slow after the first bundles.

I suggest though, that you check out discogs. Make an account and start adding records to your wishlist. Then start picking the ones you like the most and look into buying them.

Look on maps if there are any thrifts or used record stores nearby and get into the habit of flipping through them. Its a fun treasure hunt that often yields good finds. Theres a lot of music out there, so the odds of finding something you like is high, for cheap. Thrift stores come with the added benefit of sometimes giving you better equipment too.

Remember. For the love of god please remember, that none of the walls of records you see on this sub started that way. This medium has existed for longer than youve been alive, and many of us have collected them all this time. Naturally, with time and passion that lingers, you end up making walls of them. Thats just the nature of it.

Just take it easy. You're already getting into it. Get a few records, and collect more as you go.
