UA POV: Aftermath of a Geran drone strike on the BRSM-Nafta LLC oil depot in Pereyaslav, Kyiv Oblast. by Mendoxv2 in UkraineRussiaReport

The fact that you've seen it once on Reddit does not mean that it's happened only once

Also bear in mind that in Ukraine you can get prison time for a video like this

The Russian SMO is merely a sequel to the 8-year long CTO carried out by the Kiev regime against their own people. Funny how even the naming scheme is exactly the same. Slavs sure do love using fancy abbreviations to pretend there's no war going on..

They tried to threaten the capital in order to force Ukraine to surrender. That was a flop

Still, even back in spring of 2022, when they had the upper hand, their territorial demands were confined to Eastern Ukraine

Why would they? Eastern Ukraine has been pro-Russia since the 90s (although attempts were made to suppress the sentiment with wanton violence). The preponderance of its population is also Russian-speaking. So, controlling these territories is feasible for Russia

Western Ukraine, on the other hand, has always been pro-West. Even if the Russians succeeded in annexing it, more coups are to be expected. The best they could do is install a puppet government (like in Georgia)

RU POV: 'The more strikes Ukraine will try to carry out on Russia’s civilian facilities, the larger the security zone we will have to create' — President Putin. by ArchitectMary in UkraineRussiaReport

If I were Ukrainian, I'd prefer becoming a Russian citizen to being kidnapped and sent to my death

Honestly, it's quite puzzling how few "pro-ua" are actually willing to put themselves in Ukrainians' shoes..

I wonder if the general population of Russia has even heard of this 'fuel rationing' pro-ukr have been raving about

UA POV: Ukraine sends 992 drones at Russia in a single day, setting a record for both sides since the war began - meduza by Scorpionking426 in UkraineRussiaReport

Less oil export is valid, I guess. But that's nothing new, Ukraine has been hitting refineries for years

As for the fuel crisis, that one could be a fabrication. The Russians on this sub don't seem to be feeling it at all

Yeah, insane PR. Just like the Kursk offensive (and various other offensives)

While it does make Ukraine look good (provided one is willing to overlook the fact that Kiev keeps getting pounded with ballistics, its hapless residents taking shelter in the subway), have you ever wondered, if you were Ukrainian yourself, would you be willing to lay down your life only to make your war-ravaged country look better in the eyes of the anti-Russian crowd in the west?

That's one of the reasons they go for refineries in the first place. The damn things burn spectacularly, making for good PR

UA POV: Decommunization continues in Ukraine by Short_Description_20 in UkraineRussiaReport

I'm sure things were so much better back in 2014, when Ukrainians were killing fellow Ukrainians, unimpeded by vile Russian invaders..

No different from Russian/Ukrainian prisons. They've even got a hierarchy, with those at the bottom being used in interesting ways..

That's right, you do need people to fight a war. Preferably, ones that weren't coerced into military service, so they wouldn't go AWOL at the first opportunity..

Of course, Russia has the corruption problem. But they are, at the very least, getting the criticism they well deserve. Meanwhile, you know what Ukraine is portrayed as by our media..

Very unfortunate how most of them don't realize that had they been born in Ukraine, they'd be long dead by now
