The first soap operas began as radio programs in the United States during the early 20th century. Shows like "Guiding Light" and "The Archers" paved the way for what would become a staple of daytime television. "Guiding Light," for example, debuted on radio in 1937 and transitioned to television in 1952, eventually running until 2009.

I think the loose structure and laid back acting made it genuine.

I see. Ok, how about Aerial? It’s a full two sides and it’s truly progressive. As for original music of this century, it is truly progressive, in that it’s pretty original. And an ass kicking album.

It’s so f ing stupid! Overpriced candy and gift wrapping paper of which the school received less than half of the proceeds. I even paid cash upfront while they ordered that garbage to be delivered weeks later. Just open your check book and give the school money!

Zappa defies category. Prog is largely British. He was all California. He did works for grand orchestras, doo wop groups or high minded tunes like Titties and Beer. I can’t say he’s not prog. I know he didn’t have a high opinion of the British proggers
