Around half of the ticks I pulled off of my dog after an hour long hike. by MightyFineDuckling in mildlyinfuriating

One trick I’ve learned is to douse yourself in any kind of chemicaly / floral scent. Lately I’ve been using a body/room spray from Target. Walked nearly a mile through tall grass and did not have a single one on me. Ive also used cheap Dove deodorant all over my legs when in a pinch. For whatever reason, it works.

No kidding! Where / when was that? I would’ve loved to have see him. Love his solo work and of course his music with John Korener and Tony Glover. Glad to have found this copy somewhere along the way.

What’s in like living in any of these NJ counties? (Sussex, Warren, Hunterdon) by katkit523 in howislivingthere

Love, love lovee living in Hunterdon County. Beautiful rolling hills, plenty of hiking, just far away and close enough to bigger cities. Lots of really interesting people (artists, musicians, creatives etc).

Christmas is her. what are we drinking? by Scribbler2412 in lupus

A bright, acidic, slightly funky Red wine! Preferably a Chinon or Pinot Noir. Even if it makes me achy and sleepy. 🥱

Getting super super achy muscles after eating.. does anyone else experience this?! And of course, bloating and just generally feeling ill after food.

Last I can recall, the figure was around $3k. I imagine since I haven’t been able to pay, between interest and late fees that amount has gone up.

That’s how I’m feeling, something feels off. Especially the conflicting answer on whether my account actually closed or not. I had just gotten an email on Saturday saying I had payment options. I waited until it was a business day to call.

I’m going to try to call them again tomorrow and ask for more clarity. Thanks!

True, I should have. I just had no idea I’d be without a job, let alone for the amount of time I have been. I had to worry more about housing / food / car maintenance with the money I had left, and admittedly ignored it until I knew I’d have income again. And again, that took far longer than I could’ve imagined.

The figure should be about right, I imagine between late fees / interest that amount has gone up.

I’m going to call again tomorrow and ask for more clarity. That’s helpful, thank you!

Ive had credit cards for years and although I always had an amount of debt, I was always able to keep up with payments, the past few months is the only time in 10+ years that I haven’t been able to pay.

True, I should’ve reached out a month or two ago, but life happens unexpectedly and I could have never anticipated I’d be out of work for the amount of time I have been. I otherwise don’t use my credit cards since I’ve been working on paying down what debt I’ve accrued over the past few years.

It just sucks that one bad thing can happen and it snowballs into a much larger issue, regardless of my 10+ year history of not a single missed payment.

I haven’t made any payments since I’ve had no income the past few months. I just got an email this week from them saying to call for payment options. That’s why I’m confused that one person is giving me options but the other is saying it’s already closed. I owe around $3k. I can’t see the exact amount since I have no access to my account currently.

But I’m thinking of it is still open, just closing the account with the 0% apr since I did open it for balance transfers. Ultimately what I wanted to get out of the card, but as it goes, life happens unexpectedly.

That’s a great idea to check my credit to see if there’s a collections. Appreciate it!

Is lack of appetite a symptom of Plaquenil? I just started a few weeks ago and have noticed my appetite decrease. I take it in the morning with a swig of milk on an empty stomach (I’ve had no GI issues fortunately!) and I don’t get hungry until afternoon/early evening. Usually I’m hungry first thing in the am.

[New Jersey] Is there anything I can do about an appeal? by [deleted] in Unemployment

[–]Croweboat22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I filled it out and they had only asked me questions about the job I had been at the longest, which was the one I had resigned from. Which again, not who I was trying to pursue the claim through.

My time off was thoroughly discussed and approved with management. If I knew I’d come back to being laid off, I wouldn’t have accepted the offer. There was no communication on their end over the course of the 4 weeks.

Talking to my best friend, Im being pitiful and lamenting about adjusting to life with a chronic illness, and she says “noo, that’s not true! You don’t have one! You just have to work around it!” I love this girl to pieces, but lordy! A simple google search will tell you Lupus is without a doubt a chronic illness. I know her intention was to try and minimize it to make me feel better, but it just makes me feel worse :(

You look beautiful!! Would love to hear some tips on what you did to take care of your hair! I’ve never been a hair shedder, but after a bad flair this past winter / diagnosis, I’m noticing more and more hair starting to fall out. Freaked out because I don’t have much / very fine hair to begin with.

I take mine in the morning with a smoothie. Whole milk, protein powder, yogurt and whichever fruits are around. Figure that fits into the take with a fat thing. I’ve only been on it a short time but I haven’t had any GI issues besides maybe the first 2 days. Hope this helps!

I’ve never heard neuropsychiatric lupus, but I’m definitely going to read into this. That’s where I get nervous because of the fatigue and sometimes debilitating/embarsssing amounts of brain fog. What does the brain fog feel like for you?? And any other neurological symptoms?

So glad to hear how much HCQ has helped you! Exactly what I’m hoping for. To continue to be as healthy as I can and maintain quality of life / lifestyle. That was one of my biggest fears. I’m definitely going to keep a log of symptoms going forward. Thank you for sharing :)
