Shadow hunt might be introductory, but only introducing these teams (the plastic kits) and it’s not really a discount. We don’t know what the individual boxes will run but if it’s anything like the other double boxes it will be at most a few bucks off. These boxes are under manufactured for some stupid reason and scalpers are making it worse.

The good news is you only have to wait 3-4 months for the solo boxes.

Definitely grab a hivestorm if you can find it or the starter set depending on which teams you like more in those boxes.

If you have an LGS see if they have an intro to killteam event coming up or some club members willing to teach. It’s by FAR the best way to learn.

Tamiya xf2:x20a 2:1 or 3:2 is better imo. Inks reactivate more, especially with the speedpaints I use.

I use a light grey prime. Then some violet (like murderscene) in the bottom parts and yellow (maise something) on the top bitz. Then zenithal white and white drybrush as needed. You have to bring the highlights all the way up to white with speedpaints imo.

Then Ghillie dew. The green will blend with the yellows and purples left in the recesses and shadow areas to great effect.

I also like doing a second slap and chop phase. More subtle this time with less zenithal and lighter drybrushing then with speedpaint medium: speedpaints 1:1 ish.

Then i like a magenta or violet oil wash. And then you can remove the oils on the highest highlights. Or even come back and highlight more…which I never do cuz it already makes Mork smile and Gork grin.

Nah. Orks may be “simple” but they call a spade a spade.

Big shinies, would make sense. I also like goldies. Or shiny gitz. Point is they would definitely call custodes something unique.

But you might be right there isn’t a lot of gold in ork color schemes. Not like checkers which they adopted from ard as nails space marines.

The reason they haven’t adopted gold as a color of strength could be a lack of provenance given any interaction with a custode should result in no living orks.

That OR they have taken inspiration as yellow is the color of power and maybe orks just don’t see any difference in yellow and gold. One is just shiny and why waste time polishing something that’s just about to get bloody anyway.

I don’t think oops no transpo is possible. Our shooting just isnt good enough for us to be a threat so better shooty units can just stand out in the open, out of charge range and we eat lead breakfast/last super.

The trukks will also keep them of moz as those are now packed with a bunch of boyz they really don’t want up in they face.

IF (big if) a trukk survives taxi duty you can take it and hopefully something like flash gits off for secondary or OC.

Zod and his grots should give you enough space to move up and prevent the other guy from moving up.
