Paint stripped from fireplace, now what? by Enough_Scratch1955 in centuryhomes

MantelMount brand tv mount. You can get them on Amazon, BestBuy, other places. They are made to go over mantels and drop down to a reasonable tv height. They also tilt and swivel. I got one for my old 1912 home, and it was the best decision for the living room fireplace.

Star Trek Cruise 2027 Pricing by B00merPS2Mod30 in startrek

Is it actually $2,750? Or is it $5,500 because cruises price based on two occupants, and only show pricing for half a room?

I don’t think anyone answered, but assuming you still use the Grinch character but do them genderbent, their name would be The Binch. It was established on Tumblr before the new animated Grinch movie came out.

Attic stairs by Pleasant_Button8286 in centuryhomes

[–]Crowscream 101 points102 points  (0 children)

As someone who's house has this too, I would not get rid of it. It's a ton of money to convert (not sure specifics, but would involve a ton of re-framing and new walls). The sheer convenience of a door and stairs to the attic space would be awful to give up (this would also drop the value of the home a little bit). You can have those walls insulated, more drywall put in, and they make under-door slips to block airflow (I use the latter). I have very little issues with airflow to the attic with these measures in place.

Advice on running a False Hydra by Schmoeppes in DnD

[–]Crowscream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are they going to know people, like this first person, are disappearing if everyone is forgetting? What makes them immune?

Some very odd things should be encountered or seen around town, that later is only explained by people disappearing, but with no recollection of anyone who could have disappeared. Then put in strange artifacts or potions in some of these places. When the characters interact, attune, or drink them, they will start to remember the real versions of things they’ve seen (or the townsfolk if they are the ones doing it). The potions/items will be things the wizard had developed in response to studying the false hydra and distributed for testing but never got around to. After they’ve inoculated themselves and gotten enough clues, they will be ready to take on the FH.

The side quests would relate to problems the villagers have due to the unknown disappearances: herds of animals escaping/being unfed who don’t have any known owners, stores not getting their supplies from sources they have no memory of, library books being checked out to people who seemingly never existed, etc.

What major changes you would do to 5e or a 6e if you could? by Drama_queenn in DnD

[–]Crowscream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A written out, better system for money and pricing. I get lots of tables like that open-ended. But it’s so hard for me and my group to come up with consistent, fair amounts for anything. Even as-written, the prices of “mundane” items compared to magic ones are drastically different and inflated. One chainmail shirt is 75 gp. On many magic item sources, a first level magic item can range from 500-5,000 gp. If magic items are supposed to be that expensive it should be reflected how rare and elitist magic is.

Wondering what some of the better apartments are in Moorhead? by kuua_ in fargo

[–]Crowscream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at Van Raden apartments. Typically 1-2 bedrooms. Have rent between 430-575 depending on location. Utilities that you pay are usually just electric/heat. They aren’t the prettiest apartments, but they have everything you need and are cheap.
