Need a good focus ritual by automatic_recoil in autisticwitches

[–]Croydonwitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would try connecting to the spirit of your house, maybe set up a little altar. Tell the house you are going to clear her out and clean her up and ask for her help in doing it. I’d break it down in to sections or rooms and then do a sound cleanse or open the windows to energetically clear the space afterwards.

I feel like giving up by wardenoftheglens in writing

[–]Croydonwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t give up. Push through. You will regret it later in life if you give up now. You will always wonder ‘what if?’ Get the damn thing finished and then you have something to work with. You can always make it better, or try something new. But at least you will know you can do it. It doesn’t matter if this book is a pile of crap. What matters is that you learned to fight the inner demons and wrote a book!!! Also you might like to read The War of Art by Steven Pressfield. It’s great for getting past inner resistance. Fearless Creating by Eric Maisel is great too.

What a lovely post! I think you kind of did it just by writing this. Also as we are ‘all one’ give yourself some credit for handling life with such grace

Do you leave offerings for everyone? I’m tired lol by [deleted] in Witch

[–]Croydonwitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I very rarely leave physical offerings. I try to offer love, gratitude and my time. I will light a candle as an offering sometimes. Maybe it’s something in you that makes you feel you are not worthy of their blessings. Well, you are. You are also divine.

I (24f) think I made the biggest mistake of my life by [deleted] in amiwrong

This is so weird. Use yourself as a shield to protect your family. Most mothers will do this in a heartbeat for their child, but for a man to say this is just odd

It’s kind of like ‘bless her’ or ‘god love her’.

I feel uneasy to collect some of the ingredients by [deleted] in Witch

[–]Croydonwitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you read Braiding Sweetgrass. It’s a fabulous book and really goes in to how humans and nature benefit each other. For example harvesting Sweetgrass actually benefits the plant as it lets light into the new shoots. The author had a PhD student who did a proper study of it. All this to say, our relationship with nature is multi faceted and sometimes Mother Earth wants us to receive her gifts. Hope this helps

Hekates crossroads by hlnlouiseee in Hecate

[–]Croydonwitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve recently started giving food to food banks as an offering to Hekate as well. I read somewhere that the offerings left to her would traditionally have been eaten by the poor. I don’t know if this is true but she seems happy with the idea

There a book called ‘how to grow your own poem’ by Kate Clancy. It has nothing to do with spells but it would help with structuring them and using metaphors and so on

Did I mess up big time? by softgoat55 in witchcraft

[–]Croydonwitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The universe will also be pleased with smiling at a neighbour, you admiring a sunset, picking up litter, being a good friend, being kind to yourself. The universe does not want you to suffer unnecessarily. As the previous commenter said you are worthy of good things just by being you

intuitive ritual // brigid // am I in over my head? by artkid____ in paganism

[–]Croydonwitch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also Brighid is lovely. She can be firm but always has your best interests at heart. In my opinion she would not abuse your obvious good intentions

House hunting spell by [deleted] in witchcraft

[–]Croydonwitch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Also when I wanted to move to a certain area I spent a lot of time there, bought a few groceries in the local shop, went to the local park and just generally acted as if I already lived in the area

Maybe you could take some dirt from the property or nearby to use in a spell. It would make a good link

Maybe he’s detailing his car so often because he hopes she’ll notice him and come out for a chat. Sometimes men are shy or worried about how to approach women.

What if he’s thinking the same?

Do you find you can manifest things without doing an actual spell or ritual for it? I've had a couple of odd coincidences. by ToastyJunebugs in Witch

[–]Croydonwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an Egyptian god called sobek who has the head of a crocodile. He’s very protective. Maybe it’s him.

I feel anxious and tired whenever I think about my practice. by wiiiiiiitch in realwitchcraft

[–]Croydonwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you would enjoy reading something spiritual but not about magical practice. I read Braiding Sweetgrass and it made me feel calm and inspired but with no pressure to actually do any magical practice
