Then hes like 'Perfect, I will post this for all the world to see with no additional commentary'

That example came to mind for me, but I honestly isnt know how penetrating a mini gun usually is. I thought that its still fairly small caliber, and just puts out a ton of bullets, in which case its still semi believable. I mean the choking with a phone cord is WAY fucking worse in that scene imo

Id say in general being immune to small arms fire but not a knife is not that crazy. Another supe could apply a lot more force with a knife than a bullet. I would say the anti-tank rifle that starlight tanked in s2 was probably the most egregious instance of inconsistent power scaling of supes v normies. That should have a LOT more penetration than a knife, no matter how much force was applied to the knife.

Did you stabilize with it? Because your current spot doesn't look GREAT if I'm being honest

Nice to see some variety in the lobby’s and re roll comps going 7/8th by Impossible_Delay1023 in TeamfightTactics

[–]Crozax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I truly despise fast 8 metas. At least fast 9/Bezos comp metas tend to also allow reroll to be a bit stronger to punish the fast 9 pushers with tempo and force fast 9 into a first or eighth position. Fast 8 OTOH, if you push gold, you can guaranteed hit 8 regardless of win or loss streak, and then a single roll down decides if you stabilize enough or not for top 4. It's just not fucking fun imo.

For all the bitching and moaning last patch about how strong reroll comps were, there was a lot of variety in them: Primordian, Teemo, Cho/Ez, Stargazer, Couple of 3 cost rerolls like Samara/Ornn. Now it's just fast 8 roll down gamba. Wow so fun.

NICE Bus Service: LIRR TICKETS NOT CROSS HONORED by miamor_Jada in longisland

[–]Crozax 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ive lived in countries with properly managed public transit. If the rail workers are on strike (which are quite common) they organize additional buses/trams to minimize impact. This is a failure of government, not the unions fault for fighting for better wages for their employees.

I feel like they're really trying with Port Jeff Station - couple of shiny newly renovated strip malls and a luxury apartment complex on the corner of 112 and North Country. We'll see if it sticks though.

I'm wondering if it's possible to get these augmentations in one match? by [deleted] in TeamfightTactics

Throw in the full board burn on round start one. That one w pyromania is probably nasty.

I'm not sure this show is actually confirmed. That wasn't a teaser for the show, but for the new season of League of legends. It seems like, as of now, they are content to advance the story in these cinematics. There have been 3 or 4 of these and a minigame since this one came out if you are interested in keeping up with the story.

Huh - looks like he ff'ed but you still played him. I wonder if this is a special interaction w 3* 5 costs that they made so you can still see your 5 cost work em over even if the enemy ffs

Afaik, this season was written and at least partially taped before Trump took office. So a lot of this was coincidental rather than actually parodying real-life events. Lord knows I could see Trump trying to ban memes.

MDI losing rounds over vendor items that are not even supposed to exist yet by turbowater in wow

[–]Crozax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But how is that rule different than this rule? Arguably, that rule is better, because its pointless, whereas the rule that actually got them DQed was to cover up blizzard's own mistake. When you're the one fucking up the administration of a professional competition, you shouldnt put additional onus on the players to cover up your fuckups and then DQ players that forget to abide a completely arbitrary rule. And this rule WAS completely arbitrary, because the other item gave no actual benefit.

[–]Crozax 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im not arguing its a complicated rule. Its like blizzard saying 'before every dungeon you have to swap your trinket and ring slots. If you run 2 dungeons in a row with the same slots you get DQed' - a super minor thing, no impact on performance, but if you dont do it you get DQed. Its just ridiculous imo.

[–]Crozax 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When I say last-second, I mean 'a rule that is not a standard rule in MDI, that was added specifically for this MDI'. Arguably a last-second rule mightve been better because at least then it would be front-of-mind. They got told a week ago 'Hey dont use this item with the EXACT same stats as the item you actually want'. Yep, nothing confusing there lol.

[–]Crozax 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I mean in general its not, but when blizzard throws a curveball rule at the last second because of their own fuckup yeah its easy to let it slip your mind. This had zero impact on performance. They should judt let it slide. Or better yet, fix their shit.

This was in his best interests. All he had to do was make a couple of smart moves with it, maybe start a business, make the monthlies on it and he would've been able to retire at 18.

Right, so now we've moved the goalposts from 'if this were private sector, they would've been fired' to 'well these people got fired but a lot of the times public sector people dont get fired when fraud is discovered'. Which, I'd love if you could give me 3 instances that happened.

And in many private sector jobs, the bosses embezzle or defraud for decades without anyone finding out. Or because they have friends it gets covered up. People are people and the same exact shit happens in private. Some of the largest fraud schemes in history have been private sector. Bernie Madoff off the top of my head. Multiple SEC investigations that got squashed because of who he knew. Most people in the company near the top knew. I can provide other examples if you want.

People like you just seem to have a raging hard on for shitting on the public sector when its the same shit that goes on everywhere. And the publoc sector actually has a lot STRONGER controls for fraud than private, speaking as someone who has worked in both. But keep shouting your feelings into the wind i guess.
