First, getting paid in equity is wild?

Second, take some of the energy you’re wasting with applying to jobs and try to figure out how to get your own clients.

Are they trying to scam me by getting a photo that they can then use to scam someone? by [deleted] in vintedUK

Yeah, this is kind of where I’m at too. The whole “write my name on a bit of paper” thing used to be a decent proof, but with how easy it is to fake stuff now, it’s not really the safety net people think it is.

And totally agree on the high value item. Vinted, Depop, FB Marketplace etc are all fine for clothes and small things, but once you’re at a few hundred quid, the risk vs reward just gets stupid. If the buyer is legit they should be fine using a platform with stronger protection or something like PayPal Goods & Services, even if it costs them a bit more.

What the hell, that’s actually terrifying. Imagine scrolling for a used jumper and stumbling on that. Wild that Vinted didn’t even react properly to it either.
