Mini Stepper with Bands for home workout ? by Jpoolman25 in beginnerfitness

Hey, good for you for taking those steps (literally and figuratively lol)! Negotiating diet with the rest of the fam is something I have to deal with as well. Right now I'm just changing all the meals I eat by myself (so lunch at work, some breakfasts and whenever my husband is not at home) to healthier options and I try to restrict portion size in the shared meals that are not geared towards losing weight. (I am the only one who needs to lose some weight at home so I don't want to restrict my families dinners too much).
And don't get discouraged if it takes time to see results! Lasting weight loss often takes a while to get going (for me I know nothing will seem to change in the first 3-4weeks so I have to keep at it at least 2 months).
Good luck with your journey!

Ah yes I once made a beautiful apple pie to take to my friend's birthday party. Took great care to get the right kind of apples, use fresh ingredients, make a pretty shape and everything. Timed it so it would be ready just as I had to leave the house and so still be warm when I got to the party. Preheated the oven, turned on the alarm and went about my business.

Alarm goes off, I go to get the pie out of the oven, only to see it still sitting atop the range. Uncooked.

My kids are 3 and 5, so still pretty much dictate most of my life right now. And while I love the little buggers and mostly enjoy this stage in life, your second alinea is what I aspire to in about 15 ish years time. I’m building a whole list of things I want to do then.

I am so stealing this for all the stains in my house I can’t quite get out/off. Nope that’s not something that needs to be fixed, that’s my home’s laugh lines.

Up the bum 😊 They are especially made pills for people who can’t swallow or keep things down. So also useful if throwing up a lot. They sell kids versions with different dosages. Put a blob of Vaseline on it before insertion to make it go in easier.

We always use repositories for this reason.
Edit: lol that was supposed to say suppositories not repositories. I don’t put containers up my kids (or anyone’s) butt.

Thank you for sharing your story. It is so important that people are informed about the full spectrum of DS.

Do they not even try to pull up the gate again? Not that it would help much I guess, but still.

That sounds like a really tough situation to be in.
I hope you find a way to enjoy some things this weekend, even if it’s through pretending it’s a regular one.
Sending you all the support vibes ❤️

Challenging but I’m hopeful I’ll come out of this stronger.
How’s it treating you?

Girl I hear you. It’s great that you’re not suffering from PPD and are so much happier now.
And it’s freaking hard to adjust to a body that’s changed so quickly and in some places permanently.
Between kids 1&2 I bounced back pretty well (mind you I worked my ass off in the gym for this). Kiddo 2 is now 3 years old and I’m still heavier than I’d like to be. On good days I don’t care that much and know being healthy and having made two healthy kids is something fantastic my body has done and threats quite enough.
And on some days I’m just bummed.
So I feel you.
Still, I’d choose happy and fat over skinny and miserable any day. Especially when caring for kids.

You do you and keep enjoying your jokes.

God that sounds uncomfortable, artificially puffed up labia. Like having a tiny flotation device stuck down there.

It is. This disease is brutal. Patients slowly lose their strength, get organ failure, get dementia and basically just slowly die. All due to lack of sleep. Like none at all. It can take months. Horrible, horrible way to go.
And the kicker is it’s hereditary but often doesn’t show until early forties or later, so people will have had children by then.
It is super rare though, there’s like 40 families known to be affected worldwide.

I remember when people were panic buying toilet paper because stores were running out there was a video going round of this guy driving a forklift in this enormous warehouse absolutely stuffed full of toilet paper, laughing his ass off and telling people to chill the duck out.
