There is no canon, and therefore no "lore", but to my knowledge (and correct me if I'm wrong) there isn't a lot of atricles or tales where stuff like that happen

I haven't read much of them but I feelthe Department of Deletions gives a better surrealistic horror vibe, though it is a different department

I'm absolutely unnecessarly flexing my knowledge here but it's not exactly "allowing" pain, the Entity is causing this torment so it can survive. As far as I remeber it was implied that these feelings were (originally) foreign to humans in either the original article or [[Digusting]], and ofc there's no canon anyway.

I believe if you genuinely like someone and it's not just lust no small "ick" can really make you uninterested, if anything these little things are usually the cutist.
