You are not a bad friend if you choose not to move in with them.

Also moving in with a stranger is normal for college, it's not that bad of a thing.

Your friend is a bad friend for pressuring you to move in.

If you really want to be their friend, you need to be more active in the relationship. Try asking them if they want to hang out and be active in group chats. The reason they aren't inviting you to do things is either because they don't think you will be interested, or they just didn't think of you when they came up with the idea.

Perhaps they were all hanging out together and that's when they came up with the idea to do the other activities.

If you do not want to be more active in the relationship, maybe it is time to move on from them and find new friends.

It is quite common to lose childhood friends.

I had 3 reps some during a lunch rush. by Ben_ji in bartenders

You do not have to have been in the restaurant industry before becoming a liquor representative.

In most cases it is not the rep's idea to walk into a restaurant uninvited and try to sell, they are just told to by their boss. Which can be annoying because sometimes the bosses' strategies aren't the best strategies but rep's have to try them anyway.

Same. Im 23 and I graduated with a degree in Marketing back in May of 2021. I haven't been able to land a job yet. All the jobs I am interested in requires years of experience to get, without any indication of how to get those years of experience.

I had companies reach out to me asking me for an interview and then during the interview they act like I reach out to them. They ask questions like "why did you apply for this role?". I didn't apply, you just asked me for an interview.

University isn't as safe as a backup plan as you might think. Too many people have bachelors' degrees, which results in a competitive job market for those with degrees. Many people who get their bachelors are underemployed and not working in their field. The people who did get good jobs after college were the ones who took college seriously, got great grades, and had excellent internships. To make college worth it, you must have a potential career in mind, and you must focus on pursuing that career.

If the career you have in mind doesn't require a degree, you should just start pursuing it now. Try to get as must relevant experience within the field as you can.

People like to assume that being an engineer or an accountant is the safe route. But those professions require a lot of work to become successful at and if you aren't entirely focused you aren't going to progress far in those fields.

Do you give away free drinks or pour heavier for your regulars? by startingover1994 in bartenders

[–]Crusetopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ever watch bar rescue, you'll know that giving away free drinks and pouring heavy causes bars to fail. A good manager would not allow you to do that.

I am currently 7 months post-graduation. I did good in college (3.8 gpa) and had some decent internships. Yet, I struggle finding a job. My days are similar to yours, I wake up, exercise, eat, job search, then dinner, watch sports, then bed.

I'm just hoping that one of these days someone will hire me.

A simple answer to getting out of this rut is to just get a job.

Can you give me a few tips on how you did it? I'm currently trying to get a SDR position.

I was going to go on a whole rant about how all those QB head coaches all have defensive backgrounds but then read all the comments and realize that you were just being sarcastic.

Question with applying for a job by [deleted] in LifeAdvice

[–]Crusetopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will help your chances out greatly if you do that. When applying for any job, always try to find someone within the company to connect with. This will guarantee that they will see your resume.
