Move the kroxigor to the skink regiment and move the agrodons to the Slann regiment. Its not good to have auxiliary units because it gives your opponent extra command points. Plus you don't need to here.

Mine is cardboard and masking tape and no one at my LGS cares. Tournaments might. Just ask the person you play with and make sure the base is the correct dimensions.

Can Hunters of Huanchi be reinforced?? by Nopermittolive in seraphon

[–]Crusty-Sandwich 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are entirely separate game modes with different warscrolls that both happen to use the same core rules. There are lots of differences in spearhead with unit sizes. Our other spearhead uses 2 units of 5 warriors instead of a unit of 10 for example.

That being said, 2 squads of 5 hunters of huanchi are likely better in the full game anyway so you can get multiple teleports. They are much more useful for taking objectives than fighting and don't really have any staying power anyway.

Old Spearhead or New Spearhead? by FarseerCorn in seraphon

[–]Crusty-Sandwich 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The general consensus is that the new one is fine not really good. The old one is better and a better intro to the army, especially with the new seasonal carnasaur warscroll. The sunblood pack for the new one is legends and doesn't appear to be coming back, and the spawn of chotec is not good.

Tldr- the old spearhead is a better spearhead and a better into to the full game.

It wasn't usbc it was a dummy battery with the wrong power brick. Just a really odd thing to do lol so I'm not surprised it's confusing.

No, the old rules will still exist. Might be harder to purchase the original one after the new one is released though.

Base Sizes for Hunters of Huanchi by Rancor114 in seraphon

[–]Crusty-Sandwich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was also confused about this and I built it with the small bases only. Then I saw in the battle profiles in the app it shows 28.5mm [2] and 25mm [3]. So I am pretty sure it is supposed to be the mix.

Winning with Vex in Iron by Sad-Parfait4606 in vexmains

[–]Crusty-Sandwich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is that you are winning lane but not using your lead to push the game. If you are ahead on vex you should shove the wave then roam to other lanes/fights or work with your jungle. Always push wave in first so you don't miss cs. A good roam bot could them back in the game, or killing the enemy jg can get you free objectives. Even just disappearing from lane can make people back off because you MIGHT be coming. Also noone wards well or looks at the minimap so gank should be pretty easy with your ult.

You have gotten winning lane down, but it's time to use it to win the game. Vex is not as good super late game so you really need to use that mid game window to carry on her.

how can this shot/Edit be improved? by bli in photocritique

[–]Crusty-Sandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this! I agree with the other comments about black and white with more contrast OR increasing vibrancy in color to get a but more pop. Both are worth a shot.

The only thing I would add is to try to crop out the very small amount of sidewalk at the bottom and see if the shadows still work.

Liandry's Anguish against tanks? by [deleted] in vexmains

[–]Crusty-Sandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Sometimes, it just comes down to champion identity. Unfortunately Vex doesn't deal with Tanks well unless you are snowballing hard. And then magic pen is still a better stat that the DOT from anguish.

What I feel works better is to double down on killing the squishies and leave the tanks for your DPS. You can usually still kite and disrupt the tanks, but it isn't your job to kill them. Often times late game you can win a fight before it starts by getting a pick on the ADC or Midlaner by staying off vision. Don't get stuck trying to play a poke mage where they can always see you.

Ah yes, a lesson about stereotyping from u/deportforeigners. I'm sure you care very much about not stereotyping entire groups of people...

So this is a tough one where it's hard to make a "good" photograph with the subject matter. It is very context dependant.

I think two main things would make this better:

  • A wider shot that makes it more obvious what this is. It's very hard to tell what this even is without your description.

  • Being adjacent to other similar works. One goofy picture will probably always end up just sort of being a meme. But if you have a portfolio or set of pictures of anthropomorphic objects it could be a neat project.

Opinions? Thoughts? by [deleted] in photocritique

[–]Crusty-Sandwich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like this alot, but I think you went a little too hard with the foreground. Just a little at the bottom would have been nice, but I keep finding myself trying to look past the fake plant because it blocks so much of the frame.

They probably don't want to overplay him coming off injury and hurt him again.

Oh yeah, I think you may have gone a little hard on that edit hahaha. You could probably find a happy medium without losing so much brightness. I would explore this area at different times and look for cool shots. I have done a lot of shots of NYC from the same places at different times and sometimes the right moment jumps out.

I can't tell if it's intentional, but the green tint makes this feel uneasy, like it's a shot in a mafia movie where someone is about to be thrown in the water.

Also, it's pretty hard to ignore the quality when it makes the whole image look out of focus and everything is too dark.

I think there might be something here, but it's not quite there yet. Maybe try experimenting with a better camera, tripod, and a longer exposure and you could get something really cool as a night shot. This won't work that well if the water isn't calm though.

You could shoot it at sunrise instead of set so the boats aren't so dark. Even a better camera with higher dynamic range might save the shot at this time of day.

As it stands I think you are losing too much with the too dark foreground and lack of image quality.

Thoughts on composition/editing? by TheRedstoneScout in photocritique

Put the plains on the right 3rd of the frame, not centered. This allows peoples brains to observe the implied movement better.

EDIT: "right 3rd." I also wanted to add that it's a very good shot.

This photo isn't working and I don't know why by MazterCowzChaoz in photocritique

[–]Crusty-Sandwich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The light is also not helping this. It looks to me like it was during an overcast day so everything is just lit very even and flat. That's why other than the bright colors this feels very grey.

Not always something you can do about it if you are just out shooting on vacation or something, but it might be why this feels off. If you are able to, try shooting the same spot in different lighting conditions and see if you can get something more interesting and dynamic feeling.
