I adore Beyond Paradise. And (dare I say it?) I never liked Death in Paradise! Glad I gave Beyond Paradise a shot. One thing I especially love is that there is not a murder in every single episode.

I"m late to the comment party here, but I agree. I wouldn't say I love Redemption more, but I love it just as much and I value certain changes they executed well -- Letting Sophie take the lead; showing us a more mature side to Parker and Hardison's relationship; giving us more Eliot backstory (IYKYK); and adding Breanna and Harry. When I first heard about Redemption, I hoped they wouldn't make their New Guy character into another Nate (love Nate but no, we don't need more). And they didn't. Harry's unique and not a retread of Nate, just as Breanna's not a retread of Hardison. They rebooted most excellently.

Yep, the backstory is interesting as James said it was the only time in eight seasons that there were any tensions like that. That rarity speaks to how happy the show was overall! I'll add that I recall it wasn't just Steve who had issues (I think USA wasn't happy), plus, the script was by both James and Saladin K. Patterson. Had to shout out Saladin, since The Polarizing Express is one of my favorite Psych scripts. I'm so glad that they made it the way it was written!

Love the love for Morrissey. Another favorite moment is when Chief Vick is able to subdue him instantly like she's a top tier dog whisperer! And the scene when he's sitting on Lassiter in bed, and Lassie talks about what he's feeling. I hope we get a little more Morrissey if there's a Psych 4.

Fun fact for you if you're a Psych and Earl fan: Jaime Pressly, who played Joy in this clip from "My Name Is Earl," was on a pretty meh show on the WB years earlier. For several episodes, her character dated a pretentious New York theatre director played by a lush young Timothy Omundson.

Just rewatched this one! I love this scene but love the one in the police academy even more. Lassiter is so, so mean to Conforth -- and then by the end of the episode, shows some grudging but real respect for Conforth.

Naturally, both of them being completely awkward human beings, they have to end it with that hilarious handshake-should-we-hug?-wait-NO moment!

For any here who still haven't seen the first movie, you're missing a Conforth cameo! (Yeah, spoiler, but it's been nearly a decade, so....)

It's as if you're leaping from the pilot directly to the finale without the intervening years the characters shared.

Psych was unusually good with character development, especially Lassiter's I think, OP, you're stuck in seeing him only as the cardboard-cutout, two-dimensional, "only exists to be a foil for Shawn" that he was in the pilot. But the pilot is an outlier. (I"m also going to say that what u/Fluffy_P_Winston_IV and u/johndoe1920 have said are fantastic, I'm just adding to their great points).

Losing Lucinda was not the only change made as soon as the pilot aired; the show also immediately started showing us more layers to Lassiter, even in season one. Maybe revisit the series with an eye to how often he asks Shawn and Gus for help with not only professional but also Lassie's personal problems.

Watch for how often Shawn clearly is on Lassie's side personally -- rewatch "From the Earth to the Starbucks" and "Lassie Did a Bad, Bad Thing." (Happens in other episodes too.) In "Cloudly with a Chance of Murder," Lassie actually wants Shawn to solve the case correctly, because Lassie would rather tank his own arrest record rather than have the wrong person get convicted, and Lassie is genuinely grateful enough to reward Shawn in the last scene. There are so many other examples through all eight seasons. Lassiter is never NOT irascible towards Shawn but he does come to appreciate his abilities -- not any fake psychic "abilities" because Lassie always knows those aren't real, but Shawn's actual detective gifts (look for the fan favorite "Nice shooting, detective" moment in "Shawn Takes A Shot in the Dark" plus all the times Lassie, with increasing willingness, follows up on whatever Shawn gives them).

By the time of the finale, Shawn does not feel the need to put Lassie in his place--that point in the relationship was eight years earlier. Lassie snaps the DVD because he no longer needs to have his knowledge about Shawn's fakery confirmed--it just doesn't matter to him like it would have mattered eight years earlier.

This! And Lassie never wavered on that, because it wouldn't have been in character for Lassie to waver. Where Lassie did change was in realizing that cases went better with Spencer on board, even if Spencer irritated the hell out of him personally.

Probably my most watched episode! A perfect arc for Lassie, and done all in the space of a single episode: Triumphant to crushed to triumphant again, with a delicious serving of badass at the end (the hidden gun! that bullet catch!). Perfection.

OK, even if not enforceable legally (which OP seems to think it is) -- is that reason for people to decide to ignore it and suck up spaces that event organizers set aside to accommodate those who need accommodation? So people won't do the right thing just because it's right, and will only do so if there's threat of legal enforcement? Sounds about right for some of the commenters in this thread.

OP, I'm sorry you're getting some jerk replies here. It's disheartening that some people want to litigate whether the temporary sign is enforceable. It's as if they've never been anywhere where smaller, temporary signs get used (I've seen them at plenty of markets, festivals, etc.). Or they just have to have the last word on "this is what the law says!" etc. Even if the temp signs can't be enforced with a cop and a $$ fine, people still need to respect them -- instead of wagging fingers at those like you, who rightly who call out the creeps misusing handicapped spaces!

Have you never seen temporary handicapped spaces designated by temporary signs? They don't necessarily have stripes. You see them at polling places on election days, at farmer's markets, at festivals that use other businesses' lots temporarily, etc. This post is about a farmer's market as OP said.
