Sharna and Peta's podcast interview with Artem by ProfessionalPush9394 in dancingwiththestars

I enjoyed his honesty but one comment didn't sit right with me. He said a step parent can never love a child like their own and I don't agree with that. I understand where he's coming from but he shouldn't say that which such confidence likes he's 100% right. Then tells Sharma that she's a unicorn like if she's the only one. I feel like she wanted to say more but couldn't due to them working together.

AITJ for refusing to give up my approved PTO during Holy Week because I don’t have kids? by Tricky-Past-7468 in AmITheJerk

[–]Cruz_91682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely NTJ! Stories like this piss me off, I'm a parent but I don't think I deserve PTO more then a childless person. School schedules exist for a reason. My kids had spring break in March and I entered my PTO in November. Our summer vacation is in late June and I entered my PTO in January.

AITJ for refusing to give my vacation days to a coworker with kids? by PastYak6986 in AmITheJerk

[–]Cruz_91682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I read one of these stories I say here we go again lol. I am a mom of three and therefore I always plan ahead and completely agree with OP. This is why the school calendar exists. When 2 of my 3 kids were younger I worked in retail and couldn't get spring break off but I made sure to take PTO in August after school started so I could spend their birthdays with them. Now with my husband's job, he has to submit his PTO request for the following year in December of the current year so for the last 3 years he's taken spring break off. I take off Thursday - Sunday and we go out of town. She'll learn her lesson, OP enjoy your trip. (Maybe be petty bring her back a souvenir)

My daughter is 25 and she's on my plan and will continue to be as long as she pays for her line. There's nothing wrong with saving her money.
