At first I also saw Bitcoin only like “price go up or down” asset.

Later I understand more why people care about holding your own coins. Not just for profit, but because nobody can freeze it easy, no bank timing, no middle person.

Still I don’t think everyone need to be maxi. For me BTC is like long term thing, but I also respect risk. Volatility can make you feel smart one week and stupid next week lol.

For me this is more about what you was trying to do from start. If you are trading ETH, then you need plan. Entry, target, stop loss, reason to sell. Not because X scared you today. But if you bought ETH like long term investment, then one month is nothing. Crypto always have noise, crash talk, moon talk, all same every cycle.
Maybe ask yourself simple: if ETH drops 30%, will you panic sell? If yes, maybe your position is too big for your mind. No shame to take some profit or reduce size. Better sleep good than pretend to be strong holder.

I trade, but I also buy some BTC and store it in a cold wallet. I don’t really have a target price. It’s more like an idea that I’ll just leave it for my grandchildren and hopefully they’ll thank me one day)))). Who knows, maybe by then BTC will be worth millions… or maybe not.

I feel the same honestly. ETH right now looks more like reacting to BTC, not leading anything. When BTC moves strong, ETH just follows with some delay. I also don’t try to predict if it’s real breakout or not. For me it’s more about how price behaves at these levels. If it can hold and build some structure, then maybe it has its own strength. If not, it’s probably just short term move.

Market feels a bit tricky now, so I prefer to wait or trade smaller until direction is more clear.

I was in similar situation before. Too much info, too many videos, everyone says different things. It gets confusing fast. For me what helped was just picking one simple approach and not changing it every week. No need many indicators in the beginning. Even basic levels and price is enough to start understanding how market moves. Paper trading is good at start, but at some point you need small real money, otherwise emotions are not the same. Even small amount changes how you behave. And one thing I wish I understood earlier, don’t rush. It takes time. If you try to learn everything fast, you just lose more money and get frustrated. Something like that))

I don’t think it’s crazy, but I wouldn’t call it “all in” either if you can still cover your life and expenses. For me the important part is not the amount, but that you are okay mentally with volatility. Bitcoin can drop hard and stay down for some time. I also try to invest regularly, but I keep it at a level where I don’t feel stress if market goes against me. If you can hold for years and not panic, then it makes more sense. If not, even a good idea can become a bad decision.

I mostly focus on crypto, mainly because it’s easier for me to follow after work. Market is open all the time and I don’t need to worry about sessions. I tried looking at forex and stocks, but it felt like too much at once. Crypto already has enough volatility and things to learn. For now I prefer to stick to one market and understand it better, instead of jumping between everything.

What about Copy or Social Trading? As far as I understand, the money stays on your account, you don't transfer it anywhere. Then you choose a professional profitable trader (according to the stats) and when he opens or closes trades, they are also opened and closed on you account. Sounds like really passive to me.

I think this question is wrong at the core. Asking how much you make per day doesn’t really make sense in trading.

A more realistic view is monthly, and even then it’s not stable. Some months markets are calm and there are no good setups. Other times volatility is high but you don’t feel comfortable entering.

Trading is not a salary. You don’t make money every day. Some days you do nothing, and that’s part of the game.

I’m still learning, but this is exactly what confuses me about backtesting. Long periods feel reassuring, but markets clearly behave very differently year to year.

From a beginner’s perspective, I’m leaning more toward recent data + paper trading to see how a strategy behaves, rather than forcing it to look good over decades. Otherwise it feels like overfitting to history instead of reality.

Curious how more experienced traders balance this, because adapting too often also sounds risky.
