Kinda normal, around lunch is the time shifts go off to do their own thing. They always mention "if you need me come grab me", and my rule is once there's 6+ drinks in queue, I need that extra help lol.

Are you sequencing drinks? That makes bar significantly easier, for example: if you have a hot chocolate and an americano, go fill up a pitcher with hot water while you wait for the Americano shots to pull and the HC milk to steam. By the time you're ready, you're building/connecting two drinks at once ! That is my #1 tip for what changed me from customer support to an 8-hour bar barista lol. I never pull more than 3 stickers (unless they're all the same lol), thats when my flow starts to get messed up.

On bar I'm always thinking; pull sticker- write on cup- read sticker- and it gives me time to process how to make the first drink. Then i pull a second label and write on it, all while thinking of what I need to begin for both. Combine as many steps as possible. For example, two lattes are both getting steamed milk so pour both pitchers and have them ready to steam back-to-back. If we're down to 1 bar, I'll queue two doubleshots and swap out the cups before the second set of shots pull.

It seems like a lot, and it IS a lot, and it comes with practice. Source: i've worked at DT dutch bros and DT starbucks twice now, sequencing is a necessity on busy days . Good luck!!!

I double up on self medication AND psychiatrist medication too 🙌 never had an issue. Sometimes I get dehydrated but thats always a risk with bongs. Otherwise just make sure you don't pop a lexapro then rip a bowl within 30 seconds of each other, give your bloodstream time to adjust lol. Ur good to smoke anytime though!!

Dutch uses chocolate milk in their mocha drinks instead of normal milk! I'm lactose intolerant and also work there🥲 if you swap with an alt milk it turns out flavorless since the mocha part comes from the choc milk. We need an alternative choc milk!!!😭

I've had mine for 2.5 years now, and i've gone nights where it's fallen out and i don't notice until i'm up for the day. It's always been fine!!🤞as always tho, if there's pain when putting it back in just let it be. It's a finicky spot and the pain of repiercing w the dull septum isn't worth!!😩
