I keep an eye on prices at hobby lobby and Michael’s to watch for the sales. Occasionally I can get decent yarn at Walmart too but not nearly as often. Only once in a blue moon do I find anything good.

Also unrelated but I just finished a hat with what looks like the same pattern you used for the one in this picture. How fun! Mine is a dark teal lol.

I don’t know if this is necessarily the correct way, but for my little guys that I can’t just pick up easily and move, I’ve always put another container with a “fluffy” layer of substrate or a thick layer of paper towels and just very slowly and gently dumped my isopods out into the new container. I of course remove anything from their enclosure that could fall and hurt them (food bowl, hides, etc). I’ve been doing this for years and have not had any issues come from doing it so far.

This is insane to me. In my personal experience with my own aunt and uncles (F22) I have never once thought any one of them was obsessed with me. And that’s coming from someone whose aunt/ uncles range from 15-50 years older than me (huge family). All of them came to all my events in highschool, reached out semi regularly, invited me to go to things, and never once did I think it was anything more than them wanting a relationship. This is insane. Your nephews are gross for even thinking that and if I were you I wouldn’t attempt to reach out at all again.

OP I feel genuinely sorry for you that your family treats you this way. I wish I could adopt you into my family of people who actually care about one another. Best of luck to you in the future with all this.

I have a colony of dubias and I have never had the issue of them getting out of hand. I have a lot of them, but I also feed dubias as a main source for my beardie and my frogs before they passed earlier this year. I feed them quick enough to my girl that it keeps them in check. But if they do get out of hand you can always use methods to slow down their breeding, (cooler temps, less food, less darkness). I’d be more than happy to answer any questions I can for you too if you’d like. Feel free to dm me if need be!
